2018 at 1.00 - 3.30 pm. Everybody welcome!
Just 'pop in' to relax, enjoy, listen to music, have fun with activities or chat
in a welcoming and friendly
environment! £2.00 for refreshments. Volunteers still required to help with the

National Eucharistic Congress “Adoremus”. Over the weekend of 7th -9th September a National
Eucharistic Congress is being held in Liverpool. People from every parish in the country are being invited. A special symposium is being held on Friday 7th at the
ACC Convention Centre and a special Congress Day to be addressed by Bishop Robert Barron of the USA on Saturday 8th at the Echo Arena. Special Masses and Eucharistic Processions are to be held at Liverpool
Metropolitan Cathedral on Sunday 9th. Each parish is being invited to send three delegates. For further
information and details of booking arrangements see Fr Michael. Bishop Marcus has asked us to prepare for the
Congress with a special series of homilies after Easter
A special Fundraising Concert for the Family of
the late NICK SMITH is to be held on Friday 13th April, 2018 from 7.30 pm in our Church
Hall, featuring the Yorkshire Songwriter

who we welcome into the family of the Church at their baptisms today.
TODAY is the Feast of Divine Mercy. A special celebration will take place at Leeds Cathedral Great
George Street Leeds LS2 8BE, 2nd Sunday of Easter, 8th April 2018.
The programme will be as follows: 1:30pm Start,
1.45pm Exposition Prayers, & Readings, 3:10pm Mass & D.M.I
Veneration, 4:30pm Tea in the Cathedral Hall. There is NO
Confession on Divine Mercy Sunday as confessions 7 days before or
7 days after meet the requirement.
Halifax Choral Society are presenting Franz
Joseph’s Haydn’s “The Creation” at the Victoria
Theatre on Sunday 15th April at 6.30pm. The biblical story
is retold in beautiful music and tickets cost £12 to £24.

ST MALACHY’S SCHOOL EASTER
CELEBRATION MASS –
Tuesday 10th April at 1.45 pm in school.
All welcome!
Hungry Box. Since
last summer the very generous sum of £1514.60 has been
received through the Hungry Box. This has now been
forward to support the local food bank at Ebenezer
Church and homelessness project at the Gathering Place
run by Christians Together Calderdale. Many thanks for
your ongoing generosity.
Dead List Masses. It is not possible to schedule all
the Masses received in respect of the November Dead List for celebration in the Parish. However, one of our newly ordained priests who is finishing his studies in Rome, Fr Elliott Wright, has undertaken to celebrate 20 of these
Masses during the next few weeks.
SVP: We will be holding our Annual SVP Coffee
morning in aid of SVP Youth on Sunday 22
April. We will be having a Grand Tombola, Raffle
and Cakes etc Any donations from those able to
bake or contribute gifts, toiletries etc. towards the
event will be greatly appreciated. Items can be
placed in the box in the church porch. Many thanks.
