Downtown Denver Off-Street Parking Inventory December 2011

The Downtown Denver Partnership performs a physical inventory of Downtown Denver’s off-street parking spaces twice a year, in June and December. As of December 2011, there are 43,623* off-street parking spaces (lot and garage) in Downtown Denver. The number of parking spaces has grown by over 1,450 since 2007. Off-street parking is located throughout Downtown Denver. This survey includes the following neighborhoods: 17th/Office, Ballpark, Convention Center, Golden Triangle, and LoDo. The median rates for garages and lots have remained relatively stable over the past few years with median daily rates of $15.00 for garages and $7.50 for lots, and $175.00 median monthly rates for garages and $117.50 for lots. There are 43,623 total off-street parking spaces in Downtown Denver: 32,998 garage spaces and 10,639 surface lot spaces. The median maximum daily rate for parking in Downtown Denver is $9.00 and the median evening rate for parking in Downtown Denver is $5.00. The median monthly rate for parking in Downtown Denver is $135.00. In Downtown Denver, the median daily rate for lot parking is $7.50 and the median daily rate for garage parking is $15.00. *Note: In January 2012, shortly after this count was conducted, LoDo lost 398 surface lot spaces due to the construction and redevelopment occurring at Denver Union Station.
