Coach Cobb:
I am writing to introduce myself and to express my interest in exploring opportunities to attend Appalachian State and play in your soccer program. I will be graduating from Lake Howell High School near Orlando, Florida in Spring of 2014, and seeking enrollment the following Fall.
Since becoming interested in AS, I’ve been researching your program online and following the team. I’m interested in Appalachian State because it is the right size school for me and also is an academic fit. I’d also like to be a part of a building program that I can make an impact in.
As a long-time member of Central Florida Krush Soccer Club, I have been a focused and successful Goalkeeper throughout my Premier-level play since early 2005. I have received professional training in technique and tactics, and I have a proven record of leadership and success on and off the field.
I have attached a brief biography and photos for your review and file. Additionally, I would like to invite you to visit a Facebook page I have set up to keep coaches informed of my progress and activities- ************ . I will continue to contact you occasionally regarding my team’s scheduled play at various showcases. We currently have plans to attend several including the Disney Showcase, Women’s Final 4 in Atlanta, and Dallas Cup in Dallas, Texas next Spring.
Finally, I would appreciate any feedback or guidance you or your staff would be willing to provide as to what you are looking for in considering a student-athlete’s enrollment at your school.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,

Dear Coach Wichman:
Hi again from Florida! I hope you received the package I sent recently expressing my interest in attending school at Texas State University. I am a premier-level goalkeeper at my club, Central Florida Krush (CFK) and Lake Howell High School- class of 2014. My team, ’00 Parkland Soccer Club recently played in the Adidas College Men’s Showcase December 2-4. We had a great showing with 3 wins. I spoke with my Coach about his conversation with you, thank you so much for coming to watch me play! Texas State is one of the top schools I’m looking at. Our next big tournament will be the __________ December 31- January 3 in X City. '00 Parkland will be playing in the Showcase division, and we’re all excited to have the opportunity to play top-level competition. I understand that you won’t be able to come to this showcase, but I’ll still update you with our schedule by email. We will be out in Texas for Dallas Cup in April, so I hope to see you then!
Also, don’t forget to review my soccer-related Facebook page- just search *********** on Facebook. It has some good video clips and photos to see. I also have a webpage you can review from the Soccer in College site. The address is http://www.soccerincollege.com/sicprofile.aspx?id=FMN0960403FL.
