Our Christmas revolves around the fact we run an engraving, key-cutting and shoe repair business and it’s our busiest

time of year. For this reason, our Christmas Day traditions are very relaxed. On Boxing Day, however, we usually have a family gathering for a day of games like spud peeling, thong throwing, beer pong, a BBQ, swimming, slip and slide and maybe a drink or two. It is always a very family-oriented time for us.

ride along Wynnum Esplanade... nearly every Christmas someone gets a bike!

When I was younger, my dad would always come home on Christmas Eve with a 2kg box of cherries. I remember them being so juicy, fresh and plump. It really felt like Christmas just looking at that colourful box of cherries. Now that I have kids of my own, I do the same and take a box for my own family. Celebrating with

family and having little traditions like this always makes Christmas feel so special.

5 bananas 1 punnet of strawberries 10 large marshmallows 10 small marshmallows Chocolate sprinkles Red M&M’s 10 wooden skewers

METHOD

1. Peel and halve all bananas.

2. Wash and cut stems off strawberries.

3. Make the Santa body by placing half a banana down one skewer. Remember to leave room at the top.

4. Lay a large marshmallow on top of the banana, followed by a strawberry.

5. Top with a small marshmallow to complete the look.

6. Finish with two chocolate sprinkles eyes and an M&M for the nose.

7. Eat and enjoy!
