Reading Books

We have changed the way we band our school reading books. To simplify, we have removed

numbers and will simply focus on colour from now on. Please see the chart below to see

where your child should ideally be at expected by year group (Y) and term (T).

Collaboration

It has been lovely to see so many of you at coffee mornings and assemblies. You are always

welcome in our wonderful school. Please do speak to us if you have any issues we can

support you with and please get in touch if you would like to volunteer in any capacity.

Responsibility

Following in the footsteps of last year’s Y5, Miss

Hinchcliffe’s class, watched by parents and carers,

were inducted to be ‘Mini Cops’ in this week’s

assembly. We are looking forward to watching

them represent our school and community.

Reading

We are having a huge school drive to

get our children reading as much as

possible. We know that this is one of

the most important factors in how well

children do at school.

Please ensure your child is reading at

least 3 times a week at home (by them-

selves or with an adult/carer).

We have seen a HUGE surge in reading

this week. Thank you.
