Mr. Arihant had 1,000 shares of ICICI Ltd of R 100 each. In March, 2016, he sold hisshares @980 each. With this amount he decided to set up a business of Kids garments on 1April, 2016 under the name of M/s Colour Garments. He decided that all transactionsshould be made through bank and deposited the whole money in State Bank of India. Hepurchased a running factory of Kid Garments consisting of Factory Land and the BuildingRs. 4,00,000, Plant and Machinery Rs. 3,50,000, Furniture Rs. 50,000, Stock Rs. 90,000 butagreed to pay Rs. 9,50,000 as purchase consideration. He later approached his banker for a

loan to meet the working capital requirement. Bank advanced loan amounting to Rs.4,00,000 @ 10% p.a. He purchased a Laptop for Rs. 40,000. His transactions for the yearending 31st March, 2017 were as follows:

earn Gross Profit @20% and Net Profit @10%.(d) Also compute Interest coverage Ratio to see whether the firm can meet its interest

burden regularly in future.(e) In future M/s Colour Kids Garments would be in need of more funds for expansion

purpose. For this they are planning to approach the bank for further loan. Suggest onthe basis of ratios calculated above whether bank can grant more loan to this firm.
