    It is 1900 hours on aweekday. An earthquake has

    struck a medium size portcity, Reimerville, 1,600 milesfrom your location. At 2130

    hours, on the impact day,

    you are one of ten UrbanSearch and Rescue Teamsrequested to respond. Fourof these teams are already at

    the impact area.

    Prepare a written report to summarize events that

    your team accomplished for Incident Day, ID+1 Day(the travel day). For Incident Day and ID +1 Day, indicate what hours

    personnel eat, slept, loaded transport vehicles, set

    up the Base of Operation and Command Post. If you drove to the scene, calculate how much fuel

    you needed for your convoy. Fuel used by eachvehicle for 1,600 miles.

    days at 1300 hours. (ID+2 day.) TheIncident Support Team has taken the

    lead to coordinate the rescue fromSelimosHigh School.

    Grid Five is mostly residential. It can only beaccessed byHighway 100 on the west side of the

    grid. It is estimated that 400 citizens self rescuedfrom Grid five. There are 300 reported missingcitizens from Grid Five.

    The streets from north to south offHighway 100 areFront Street, Church Street, 21st avenue, 22nd

    avenue, 23rd avenue, 24th avenue, Midway Road,26th avenue, 27th avenue, 28th avenue and 29th

    avenue.

    All streets are impassable to the East due to thecollapse of GrandHighway.

    All streets in Grid five terminate to the south atMullipson River.

    Electrical power has been de-energized by the localpower company. Individual generators exist.

    240 29th avenue. Search team had verbal contact with victimwho was pinned under concrete floor. Squad #1 & 2 arrivedat 1600 hours and removed one victim at 1930 hours. Fourfatalities were noted in this structure.

    410 26th Avenue. Search squad had verbal contact with one

    victim. No resources available to remove them.

    440 23rd Avenue. Search team had a canine hit on thisstructure. At 1700 hours, technical search verified 2 livevictims and four fatalities. Squad 1&2 arrived at 2015 hours.Live victims removed at 2300 and 2320 hours.

    21st Avenue.

    Concerned citizens state they see looters at 301 MidwayRoad and 300 Front Street.

    A 5.0 aftershock has caused an additional collapse to 440 27th

    Avenue. They believe two citizens were trapped during the

    aftershock. 300 church street has an outbreak of diarrhea.
