Partially Colored Black and White Image (Complete this tutorial for 2 Portraits and submit to Homework Folder) Step 1: Open one of your portraits in Photoshop
Step 2: Copy your background Layer > CTRL + J
Step 3: Add a black and white adjustment layer and make any other adjustments needed (levels/contrast/ect)
Step 4: Select your background copy layer or layer 1
Step 5: Find your quick selection tool located in the left hand tool bar
Step 6: Select the area you want to be in color by dragging the tool over the area you want to select
Step 7: Once you have selected what you want to color go to refine edge at the top of screen
Step 8: Select Refine edge and make adjustments
Step 9: After you have refined your edge select okay and select the eraser tool
Step 10: Erase the area you want to be colored
Step 11. After you finish Flatten your image and save in your Dropbox Portraiture-‐Homework folder
