Programme ReviewProgramme Review
Tempus - (The Trans-European Mobility Scheme for University Studies) supports the modernisation of higher education and creates an area of co-operation in countries surrounding the EU. Established in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the scheme now covers 27 countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
Tempus is being implemented by means of two types of grant:

1995 – 11/2009: With the Tempus grant of 13 million euro 48 projects (including preparation and compact projects) were funded in Georgia

The overall objectives of NTO The overall objectives of NTO
Promotion of the programme (Tempus & EM) and assistance to potential applicants;
Monitoring of Tempus Projects;
National Tempus Office will also act as Bologna promoter within Georgia and provide information on the implementation of reforms;
Engagement in more structured dialogue with educational authorities involving higher education stakeholders.
