5. Denmark’s Aruba Airhead forum

The Denmark’s ARUBA Airhead events are typically one-day event that is being held twice a year, one day in the west island and another day in east / capital. This program rebranded from former Network Natives Forum. Events give you the opportunity to meet and discuss further with local Aruba Systems Engineers in Denmark. We present product update and hands-on demos. Read further on http://airheads.nu/partner.html.

6. Arubapedia for partners (AFP)

Arubapedia for Partners (AFP)- the go-to reference site for Partner Systems Engineers (SEs). This site documents best practices and terminologies related to Aruba's technology, products, and use-cases. Aruba’s development and field engineers frequently update the site.

Now AFP is accessible in two ways. Simple way is browse to AFP https://afp.arubanetworks.com and click on “Partner Ready Portal user?”. Then you will be redirected to the Partner Ready Portal page for login. After successful login to PRFN you will be landed on AFP page.

7. Systems Engineering tools: SEEL Workbench, ASE, etc.

Systems Engineering Enablement Lab (S.E.E.L) - The S.E.E.L is an amalgam of both the SE Demo Lab and the Partner Demo Lab. S.E.E.L is part of the SE Enablement team's mission to build, update, and maintain the Demo Lab as a world class resource to enable our Aruba & Partner SE's to successfully demonstrate Aruba solutions in a very controlled and stable manner during a customer visit and to drive sales. The Aruba Workbench (AWB) is an on-demand hands-on technical hardware work bench that SEs can load and configure their own PoC configs from a "shopping cart" of equipment or select a predefined "recipe". Each selected recipe can be modified by the SEs who selected it. A RAP can be adopted into the workbench and the SE's remote built network can be brought directly the SE at the customer site or where ever. By pointing a RAP to an Aruba Workbench controller, the SE is able to have live L2 action as if they are sitting directly in that campus. This includes HP switching, Aruba wireless, as well as AirWave, ClearPass, SDN Controllers (coming soon) and IMC (also coming soon). However AWB is also accessible using Aruba Virtual Intranet Agent called VIA installed on computer. Aruba Solution Exchange (ASE) is a web-based tool that quickly generates configuration for a variety of use cases. The tool offers a set of "solutions" and each "solution" targets a common configuration use case. Examples of offered solutions include Aruba Controller Captive Portal and VIA VPN. The content that goes into a solution usually comes from existing VRDs, tech notes, application notes, user guides, and/or KB articles. The collected information is then packaged together into a wizard interface to reduce the learning curve in being able to understand and make use of the configuration. To quickly become familiar with the tool, watch this 3 minute video that demonstrates the major features of ASE.

11. Aruba Innovation Zone (AIZ)

Innovation starts at the front line with our partners and customers that are using Aruba’s technology to

solve real world business challenges. We need to hear from you on how to ensure our products and

solutions are meeting the demands you see today as well as the challenges, or opportunities, you see

on the horizon. The Aruba Innovation Zone (AIZ) is Aruba’s new feature request system to capture,

discuss, and develop these ideas into reality. It is a single place for you to submit your ideas on

how you think any of Aruba solutions need to be enhanced, whether these are new capabilities or

platforms, refinement of current features, thoughts on integrations that make sense, or even new

technologies that Aruba should consider developing. Besides submitting your own requests, via this

portal you will be able to search for existing ideas, vote on ones you like to help get them more

attention, add additional details to existing one, or discuss the idea with your peers, customers,

and Aruba engineers. Aruba’s product management team leverages the ideas in this system for

roadmap development. You will receive updates about the status of your idea, or ideas you are

watching, as well as updates when others are talking about your idea, have questions, or are adding to

it.

Get started today by logging on to Partner Ready Portal and clicking the link to the Aruba Innovation

Zone (AIZ) in the Resources menu. Click on GO button to navigate to AIZ.

You can vote for an idea in your product or solutions of your expertise.

See here for more information, some instructions to get started, and answers to some commonly asked

questions. https://afp.arubanetworks.com/afp/index.php/Aruba_Innovation_Zone_FAQ

12. Aruba Support Portal (ASP)

The new Premier Online Support Experience for Aruba Customers to be launched in EMEA in H2-2018.

As a current user of the My Networking Portal (MNP) for your Aruba Branded Products, the new and

improved Aruba Support Portal (ASP) will be available for your use with new and improved capabilities.

ASP includes features that will allow you to view, log and manage ALL Aruba Branded Product support

cases for your company, more easily find and download Aruba software and documentation, manage

your licenses, assets and contracts in a familiar way and finally allow you to interact with Aruba Product

Management on enhancements you would like to see in our products.

The process to start using ASP will involve the migration of your assets (licenses, devices, contracts

and users) from MNP. This automated process should be a quick and painless one for you as the

designated administrator for your company. Other users you have for your company in MNP will get an

email notification to on-board as well once you have completed the asset migration. No additional asset

migrations will be required for subsequent users to begin accessing ASP. Once your asset migration is

complete, your company’s MNP account will move to a Read-Only state and all further needs you have

for online support can be exclusively performed on ASP.

Major benefits that you get from ASP are:

Simple and improved license management workflows

Intuitive with simplified user interface

Ability to log and manage all support cases

Simplified Search to locate and download software and documents The interesting feature “Full Function Case Management” helps you with a simplified case creation workflow. You can manage all cases in one portal for a single company with view to case details and it is improved for email case creation.

Please mind that:

The expected partner onboarding timeline in EMEA region is late August 2018 (subject to change). Until then continue to use MNP and / or Aruba Support Center.

Customer / Partner assets including licenses must be migrated from My Networking Portal (MNP) beforehand. This process called Onboarding.

Legacy HPN Products are not available on ASP. This is due to differentiation of Products and Support Experience. These products still available on MNP with similar DCN product set*

18. FAQ

18.1 Having difficulty to access the Aruba Support Center?

This issue happens because the legacy Aruba partner portal (partners.arubanetworks.com) provided authorisation to the support portal. The legacy portal was shut down on August 1st. In a small number of cases (< 5% of partner users) there is a discrepancy in the partner entitlement details. If you run into this issue, please register on the site again. This would auto approve your login: https://support.arubanetworks.com/Default.aspx?TabId=55 Automatic registration approval is based on the approved domain list of the partner. Providing a serial# or contact would really help us close out the registration in case their domain is not within the approved list. In case this does not work, please write a mail to [email protected] regarding the issue. This team will re-enable your account.

18.2 Having difficulty to log on to Arubapedia for Partners (AFP)?

AFP will receive a certificate error. To fix this you need to access AFP through the Partner Ready Portal. We expect this issue being resolved in Q4-2017.

18.3 Where can I check Aruba products end-of-life and EOS?

Check the below link to find timelines for products at the end of their lives and learn more about our End-of-life policy, so you can get the communication and support you need for your hardware and software products: http://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/end-of-life/ 18.4 Where can I find security advisories?
