Data DestructionNAID, the National Association for Information Destruction, a trade association providing

NIST 800-88 is a resource for businesses and consumers providing them with guidelines

which clearly identify methods for safe data eradication (old DOD standard).

Tools

Hammer - hard disk drive erasure tool. Securely erases all data written to PATA, ATA

and SCSI drives. Meets NIST 800-88 purge and clear specifications while still

allowing the redeployment of the drives.

Degausser- demagnetizes the hard drive; renders it useless
