STRIPES AND SPOTS, MANES AND MORE—OUR GANG IS READY TO PARTY, THAT’S FOR SURE!

And they’re all here to help you throw one wild ride of a baby shower. Totally cute ideas inside.

FIT FOR A KINGHere’s an idea worth roaring about—roll up leopard-print onesies to make a faux-feline throne. We wrapped them with scrapbook paper and raffia and then created a monkey medallion with scalloped cardstock and an envelope seal.

GUESTS GUESSFor a little friendly competition, have guests grab their binoculars and guess how many! Get the jars in the Home Décor Department—the shimmer candies come as-is in a pack of safari-friendly colors.

GRAB SOME GRUBWhen guests make a stop at the watering hole, they’ll flip

over these straight-from-the-wild plates and napkins. Your grub never looked so good! 2

A DOABLE FEASTAn all-over exotic look like ours can be as easy as 1, 2, 3! Just pick up some of our ready-to-go cutouts, lanterns and stuffed animals, and partygoers will kick up their heels in no time. But don’t let the fun stop there. Get creative with all of our animal-print goodies—think giftwrap, ribbons and funky fabrics.

SUGAR AND SPICENo expedition is complete without a trunk full of safari snacks! For this cupcake stand, grab some ready-made wood slabs from our Crafts Department. And while you’re there, pick up some bare -wood candlesticks—we used them to make the tiers. Cover slabs in scrapbook paper, and secure with découpage medium. Then stack upthe sweets!

SHOW YOUR STRIPES

Sure, you’ve got lots to graze on—but don’t leave your

sweets ’n’ treats hangin’! Give ’em a stripey, smiley pal as a

topper (they come as you see them, already attached to

cupcake picks). They’re great on cupcakes, but we’d love them as cake toppers, too.

ALL CARRIED AWAYUsing baker’s twine and kraft gift bags embellished with darling labels, we transformed plain paper lanterns into whimsical hot air balloons. Just personalize them and it’s up, up and away! Then stuff them with favors, candy, or decorative paper shreds like you see here! For the basket, cut tops off of a kraft gift bag and embellish with our ready-to-use water bottle labels. Macramé twine to tie them to lanterns.

MARK THE SPOTAnchor jungle-themed signs (they come in a pack of ready-to-go cutouts) with our zebra place card holders. We added a few envelope seals to the sides featuring our favorite jungle friends.

RUFFLE SHUFFLEWe carried this theme all the way down to the floor—and that’s why we chose our favorite, rough-around-the-edges fabric, burlap. To make it, sew alternating light and dark burlap ruffles onto a plain burlap tablecloth. Tip: To ruffle the fabric, try pulling the actual burlap fibers instead of using a gathering stitch. Burlap strands are much stronger than everyday thread.
