Isang araw, may dalang maramingprutas si mama.

One day, mama got a lot of fruit.

“Kelan namin iyan pwedengkainin?” tanong namin.“Mamayang gabi,” sagot ni Mama.

“When can we have some fruit?”we ask. “We will eat the fruittonight,” says mama.

Pero matakaw si Rahim at hindisiya makapaghintay. Tumikim ngisa at dinagdagan pa ng marami.

My brother Rahim is greedy. Hetastes all the fruit. He eats a lot ofit.

“Naku! Tingnan ninyo ang ginawani Rahim!” sigaw ni bunso.“Matakaw si Rahim, at matigas angulo,” sabi ko.

“Look at what Rahim did!” shoutsmy little brother. “Rahim isnaughty and selfish,” I say.

Galit si mama kay Rahim.•••

Mother is angry with Rahim.

Galit din kami pero ayaw magsisi niRahim.

We are also angry with Rahim. ButRahim is not sorry.

‘Hindi po ba mapaparusahan siRahim?” tanong ni bunso.

“Aren’t you going to punishRahim?” asks little brother.

“Magsisisi ka, Rahim,” banta niMama.

“Rahim, soon you will be sorry,”warns mama.

At sumama nga ang pakiramdamni Rahim.

Rahim starts to feel sick.

“Aray! Sakit ng tiyan ko,” bulongniya.

“My tummy is so sore,” whispersRahim.

Tama nga si Mama. Pinaparusahanna si Rahim ng prutas!

Mama knew this would happen.The fruit is punishing Rahim!

Humingi ng tawad si Rahim.“Hinding-hindi na ako magigingmasiba,” pangako niya. Atpinagbigyan namin siya.

Later, Rahim says sorry to us. “Iwill never be so greedy again,” hepromises. And we all believe him.
