Scordaturas: The electric guitarist is required to use two instruments, the first in standard tuning, and the second in baritone tuning (all strings detuned one perfect fourth).

The bassist is required to detune the contrabass IV (E) string a half step to E-flat. The electric bass must have low B and E (a perfect fourth below strings III and IV) available; an electric bass in baritone tuning, or a 5-string electric bass may be used.
