Hung Liu: Into the Clouds (Study II), 2010, mixed media on panel. An exhibition of new work by Bay Area artists Hung Liu and Rex Ray is currently on view at Turner Carroll Gallery (725 Canyon Road). Both artists use vibrant colors to convey emotional intensity. Liu’s mixed-media pieces explore her personal experience of China before, during, and after Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution.
