PassiveAir
Passive chilled beam
Main features b Energy efficient high performance b Cooling capacity up to 455 W/m
at a temperature difference of 10 °C b Silent operation b Suspended installation
DescriptionThe PassiveAir passive chilled beam can be used in all types ofpremises where supplementary cooling is required. By absorbing heat, mainly through natural convection, PassiveAir maintains the room temperature at an even level, securing an optimal thermal comfort. The passive chilled beam works best in areas where heating and ventilation have already been installed. PassiveAir is designed for suspended installation, and due to the the low height of the product it is suitable for most type of premises.

MaterialsThe elegant design of the aluminium side profiles and front plates makes the product blend into its environment. PassiveAir is a convector enclosed in a painted aluminium casing with a perforated front in aluminum. The coil is made of copper tubes with uniquely designed aluminium fins. The casing is powder coated in a RAL 9003 color.
Square perforation as standard option
Mounting instructionsThe unit is delivered with four factory made mounting brack-ets (one in each corner), which can be adjusted seperatley in four directions. The device can also be mounted suspended with help from a threaded rod.

FunctionThe operation of PassiveAir is based on the natural convection process and is self-regulating. The air velocity increases ordecreases in relation to the heat load within the room. This ensures good comfort with a minimum risk of draught. Varying sensible cooling output requirements are met by regulating the flow of chilled water through the beams heat exchanger. This is controlled by a combination of roomthermostat and water valve. The dimension of the passive beam depends on the capacity requirements.
