PAC and IPAC
Once we get through the ’11 time transition, North America (NA) will be hosting an xPAC conference every 18 months: continuing the co-sponsoring by APS-DPF and IEEE-NPSS. IPACs in the Spring (’12, ’15, ’18, etc.) and PACs (’13, ’16, ’19, etc.) in the Fall.
There will be an IPAC conference every year in the Spring, rotating in the order: Asia, Europe, NA (’12), Asia, Europe, NA (’15), etc.
We (APS or IEEE) don’t sponsor IPACs held outside NA. Right now we have an agreement with our European
colleagues to hold IPAC’11 in the fall so that there will be little conflict with our planned PAC’11 in New York.

PAC’09
PAC’09, hosted by the TRIUMF laboratory was held in Vancouver B.C. Canada, 2009 May 4th-8th. It was a technical, industrial and scientific success; as well as a cultural and interchange/discussion success.
Books should be closed. APS has not provided their share of the loss yet! Loss from the conference about $63,949 (a 6.5% loss), an amount that will be split between APS and IEEE. (Included in this loss is the unexpected hotel penalty costs of $148,992,
based on not meeting hotel room numbers listed in the contracts for two hotels.)

PAC’11
PAC’11 will be held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City 2011 March 28 to April 1. PAC’11 will be the first regional NA PAC held between IPACs (IPAC’10 and IPAC’11) with a slight “flavor”change. The PAC OC met at the conference hotel 2010 January 15, approved the site, approved the conference format, and ensured there was adequate financial contingency and no hotel overbooking.
Conference chair is Thomas Roser (BNL), SPC chair is Vladimir Litvinenko (BNL) and LOC chair is Fulvia Pilat (BNL).
Set up concentration banking account with Wachovia Bank via the IEEE conference account services. Both APS and IEEE provided their loans of $25k.
