Portugal and pasteis de Belem

• Portugal is a country located on the Iber ian Peninsula.

• Pateis de Belem are created by Cathol ic monks at the Jerónimos Monastery in the c ivi l parish of

Santa Maria de Belém, in Lisbon

• In Portugal pastè is de Belem are very important and popular.

• The people eat this desser t when is party.

Ingredients• Some cream• Some milk• Some sugar

• Some maicena• 1 stick cinnamon

• Some skin of lemon • 5 yolks

• 1grill of puff pastry

Utensils

• 1 roller

• 1 knife

• An oven

• Small molds

• 1 spoon

1st-We put some sugar and some water in a bowl and boil for about 4 minutes. Then we wait: 2nd-We dissolve the

flour with some

milk:

3rd-We put the rest of the milk with some lemon skin and the cinnamon to boil.

. 4th-We add the mixture of the flour and the milk and we remove them.

fire and we strain the

mixture.

7th-We prepare the molds with the puf pastry.We do a roller with the puff pastry and we cut it into pieces with the help of a knife.

8th-When the cream is warm,

we beat the eggs yolks with

some cream. Mix very well.

10th-We put the molds in the oven warm at 240º and we wait about 15-20 minutes.
