May 14-15, Pentecost SundayThe Gospel for Pentecost Sunday echoes the Second Sunday of Easter - Jesus breathing the Holy Spirit of peace and forgiveness upon the disciples. The reading from Acts shows how the Spirit in them reverses the tower of Babel story by having the many all hear and understand. How is the Spirit working in us to bring peace, forgiveness and understanding to our world?

Sunday Morning Traffic UpdateEarlier this week, we were advised by the Buda Police Department, that the traffic cones previ-ously placed in the road at the east entrance to the church property during Sunday morning Masses would no longer allowed. This change was directed by the City and no reason was provided for the change.
We will continue to have a police officer located at the traffic light at the corner of Main Street and Nighthawk Lane to expedite leaving the church grounds.
Please take extra care in leaving the church property at the east entrance after each Sunday morning Mass.

Thank you for past participation in Texas Alliance for Life’s Walk for Life, which is a pro-life walk-a-thon to raise funds to build a Culture of Life in Texas. Last year we raised $4,135.00 and Deacon Rey walked the 2 miles. The Walk for Life will take place at the Mandola’s restaurant walking paths, on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

MOMS is a nine-week, small-group program that encourages the spiritual growth process for mothers of all ages, using prayer, journaling, and discussion of God’s presence in our everyday lives.
The group is led by a team of facilitators and follows the book “MOMS: A Personal Journal” by Paula Hagen and Vickie LoPiccolo Jennet. MOMS provides an opportunity for women to reach out and become leaders in the Christian community by connecting with, supporting, and affirming other women. we would like to thank our community for another successful 2016 Fun Run event. This year, our school profited $34,889.26!
Thank you to all the ministries and sponsors who donated to the cause. We are forever grateful to our very own Knights of Columbus who contributed and cooked all the cheeseburgers/hotdogs for our event as well. Our school is extremely grateful to all the volunteers who helped with this event either before, during or after the event. Without volunteers, our event would not have been such a success. Thank you to all who attended our event as well. All funds from this event will be used to continue educating the whole child: mind, heart and spirit!

PrE-rEGistrAtion for all families who are currently participating in Religious Education will begin registering on Tuesdays and Thurs-days during posted hours only! No registrations will be taken during Religious Education classes. Your RE fees must be paid/current and your child must be actively participating in classes, in order to register for next year. Spaces will fill quickly, so watch the bulletin, check your email and make sure you come by when we begin pre-registering!

Parish Festival - Festival ParroquialSave the date for our Holy Cross Festival which will be held on September 10-11, 2016.
At all Masses on the weekends of 5/21/16 and 5/28/16, our Festival Committee will be distributing Raffle Tickets to all families. As in the past, money raised from the sale of these tickets benefit our Parish Church and School.
The Family selling the most tickets will be crowned the Royal Family. Each immediate family member will receive complimentary parking, wrist bands for child, front row seating for the entertainment, and $20 per family member for food and beverage. We thank you for your support and look forward to a successful and enjoyable Festival event.
Anote la fecha en su calendario para el Festival de Santa Cruz que se celebrará el 10 y 11 de septiembre, 2016. Los fines de semana del 21 y 28 de mayo, nuestro Comité del Festival estará repartiendo boletos, en todas las Misas, a todas las familias para nuestra rifa. Como se ha hecho anteriormente, el dinero recaudado de la venta de estos boletos beneficiara a nuestra parroquia y a nuestra escuela católica.
La familia que venda más boletos será coronada como la Familia Real. Cada miembro de esta familia nuclear recibirá estacionamiento gratuito, pases para los niños(as), asientos en la primera fila para las presentaciones del entretenimiento y $20 para cada miembro de la fa-milia nuclear para comprar alimentos y bebidas.
