One of the first lift chairs

Our HistoryIn 1985, two Pennsylvania entrepreneurs had a vision
to build power lift and recline chairs for the home medical market
in a whole new way. This vision included their shared goal of
“building it right the first time”, a motto that still holds true
and hangs on a banner over 30 years later in our 200,000 square
foot manufacturing facility in Old Forge, Pa.
These visionaries realized that no two people are alike;
everyone is a different size, a different shape, and has different
needs for comfort and style. They brought in experts in upholstery,
furniture design and sewing, and created positioning and
electronics technologies so advanced, that today we hold numerous
U.S. patents. It was –and still is– understood that every
individual deserves a high quality piece of furniture, with a
lifetime warranty behind it.
In 2008, this team saw an untapped potential to offer consumers
the ability to buy a power lift and recline chair from their
favorite furniture store instead of their local pharmacy. The need
for lift and recline chairs was increasing so why not give
individuals the opportunity to enjoy the quality and comfort they
had to offer. They reached out to the furniture industry in 2008
and in 2009, UltraComfort America was born. Its impact on the
industry was immediate and has been changing the face of power lift
chairs ever since with its innovative design, unmatched quality and
good old fashioned craftsmanship made by American Workers.

AutoDrive™ your body into its favorite positions!
“Recline”
Takes you through the motions of a StellarComfort chair as you
glide into your comfort zone.
When you are finished relaxing, the “Lift” button will place you
in the ideal position to get out of your recliner without unneeded
stress on your joints.
Total Control Position Control
These four arrow buttons operate the chair back and foot rest
independently allowing for infinite positioning and guaranteeing
optimum comfort.
Elevate your feet to promote circulation and experience a
satisfying stretch in your lower back by achieving the
Trendelenburg position. While in the Zero-gravity position,
press the downward arrow until the back rest stops moving. Relax,
rejuvenate, refresh!
Custom Control
“Sit”
A programmable button that allows you to relax while interacting
with family and friends.
“TV”
Since everyone watches TV differently, have your chair memorize
your personalized TV watching position. With the touch of a button,
experience ideal comfort for movie night with the family.
“ZG”
Zero-gravity distributes your body weight evenly providing
pressure-free relaxation. Program this button to a position of
weightlessness and enjoy.
“Sleep”
Whether it’s an afternoon nap or your solution to a restless
night’s sleep, program this button to the position that provides
optimum comfort and there will be no need to count sheep.
Partial and total lock out feature is available to disable
buttons on the AutoDrive 3.0.
