ADJ prefix-somewhat misleadingContain both criminal justice and forensic science Forensic science classes –ADJ 171, 172, 228, 236 275, 278Some other ADJ classes can be used for forensic degree and forensic classes can be used for administration of justice degree

* General science must be General Chemistry 111 and 112* Math through Calculus & Statistics- MTH 245* ADJ 100—direct transfer to Criminology 100* ADJ 171 and 172-direct transfer to FRSC200 and FRSC201 +

2hours FORENSIC elective (must take both 171 and 172)* Firearms (ADJ 278), drugs (ADJ 228), pathology (ADJ 275)-

considered forensic science electives* All other classes will be placed in general education electives

Curriculum Description

Designed to provide an individual with a sufficient level of knowledge, understanding and proficiency to perform the tasks in meeting client needs which can be performed by a trained, non-lawyer assistant working under the direction and supervision of a licensed attorney.

Occupational Objectives

Occupational objectives include employment in public and private organizations as a legal assistant, paralegal or legal research assistant.

I want to become an attorney. Is this the right path for me?

Law school admission requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college. The Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and Certificate for Legal Administration are not designed to transfer to four year institutions. However, some courses may transfer upon consideration and acceptance by the four year college.
