What do you get when there
are TWO holidays in the same
month? Double the fun!
Residents and staff had twice as
many reasons to celebrate last
month with Mardi Gras and St.
Patrick’s Day both occurring in
March. Whether we were decorating masks for Mardi
Gras, or wearing green to avoid a pinch, everyone
enjoyed celebrating these holidays together.
Easter is a global holiday celebrating
the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The
New Testament, as well as history,
tells how Jesus was crucified by the
Romans and died on a cross. It also
gives witness to the resurrection of
Jesus and it is upon this event that
the whole Christian faith rests.
I am the resurrection, and the life: he
that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live.
-Jesus

Rain or shine didn’t really matter
when residents put together an
indoor yard sale. Neatly organized
items were offered at bargain
prices! It’s always a great way to
pass on things that are still useful
but no longer needed. And
besides that, who can’t use a little
extra pocket change?
Flowers are a
great way to
bring the sunshine inside. And since every
flower looks a little better in a lovely pot, some
of the ladies of Pleasant Valley got together
and used their artistic abilities to paint these
one-of-a-kind flower pots.
