KF Program Proposal

Initially start with 5-6 counties at $5,000/county/year to fund cost of a part time Kenan Fellows (KF) coordinator

Hire part time KF Coordinator by Jan 1, 2009 @ $25,000 KF Coordinator identifies/solicits funding from public sponsors

at a cost of $12,500 annually for each Kenan Fellow Select up to 12 Fellows to start program in June 2009 - max of

two KF from each county Obtain funding from remaining counties ($5,000/yr) to

expand duties of KF coordinator & increase fellowships Identify and solicit funding from sponsors for other

candidates from counties that did not participate during the first year
