Here is the tablature and standard notation for the examples that I played in the “Silence Followed by a Deafening Roar” DVD. Barrett Tagliarino is an expert at making scores for guitar, so I asked him to help me. We sat down for several days, and Barrett carefully notated the details of my playing in order to communicate them accurately to you. Hello! Here is the tablature and standard notation for the examples that I played in the “Silence Followed by a Deafening Roar” DVD. Barrett Tagliarino is an expert at making scores for guitar, so I asked him to help me. We sat down for several days, and Barrett carefully notated the details of my playing in order to communicate them accurately to you. I hope it helps to clarify any questions about the techniques and notes that I used. My demonstrations on this DVD may sometimes vary slightly from the tablature. Why? Because live musical demonstrations allow much greater musical freedom than writing specific, unchanging notes on paper. I tried to give you the most exciting and inspiring live performances, and I tried to give you the clearest, most readable tablature examples. In most cases, the two should match up exactly, but when in doubt, I chose to make the tablature closer to my inner intention (what I MEANT to play). Mostly, I am proud to offer you tablature that I worked on very directly and approved every step of the way. In other words, “Yes, I really played it like that!” Enjoy the music!
