Claim Receipt: Directs retailers to file a Claim Form and provides instrucons for how to proceed. Cash Receipt: Payout receipt printed for Draw Games. Validate Ticket: Payout receipt printed for Fast Play and Scratch-Offs. Retailers must use the loery terminal to validate ckets. It is the only way retailers can verify a cket is a legimate winner and ensures that their business receives the appropriate credit to their account for the payout. The loery encourages retailers to pay all prizes up to and including $2,500.00. Any prize over $600.00 requires retailers to complete and submit a Claim Form. $100/180 Day Policy: A Claim Receipt stang, DO NOT PAY – FILE CLAIM FORMprints for Draw Game and Fast Play ckets with prizes of $100 or more that are more than 180 days past the draw date (Draw Games) or purchase date (Fast Play). Aſter paying out a player, always press the [CUSTOMER CLOSE OUT] icon to reset the total shown on the transacon display back to zero. Prize amounts up to and including $600.00: 1. Scan the winning cket or manually enter the cket informaon. 2. The terminal prints a Cash Receipt/Validate Ticket displaying the prize amount owed to pay the player. 3. Pay the player the amount shown. Note: Players may also validate winning ckets using PlayCentral-type self-service terminals. Players scan the winning cket and may choose to have the prize amount applied to the available balance on the terminal. Players may then use the funds to purchase more ckets and/or print a Voucher. Vouchers do not print automacally; players must select the appropriate icon on the screen to print a Voucher for any remaining funds. Prize amounts between $600.01 and $2,500.00: 1. Scan the winning cket or manually enter the cket informaon. 2. The terminal prints a Claim Receipt, displaying the prize amount along with instrucons to scan the cket again and file a Claim Form. Note: If the first scan occurred previously at another retailer and that retailer did not complete the payout, the terminal will print a Cash Receipt/Validate Ticket instead of a Claim Receipt, displaying the prize amount along with instrucons to pay the player and file a Claim Form. Complete a Claim Form as indicated in Step 3, then pay the amount owed to the player as indicated in Step 6. 3. Fill out a Claim Form completely and legibly, following all instrucons on the form. 3. Scan the winning cket or manually enter the cket informaon a second me. 4. Pennsylvania Lottery games have a wide variety of prize amounts. Different tiers of prize amounts require different actions by the retailers. Correctly processing prize payments is critical to a retailer’s success in selling lottery products.

Important reminders relating to all ticket types:

When validating a winning ticket, the most important step to follow every time is to READ THE MESSAGE that appears/prints and to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Claim Receipt: Directs retailers to file a Claim Form and provides instructions for how to proceed.

Cash Receipt: Payout receipt printed for Draw Games.

Validate Ticket: Payout receipt printed for Fast Play and Scratch-Offs.

The Wave terminal provides a variety of reports to track pays and claims for all types of tickets.

Reports include: Daily/Weekly Activity Xpress Games Daily/Weekly Activity Weekly Settlement/Combined Weekly Settlement Daily/Weekly Pays

Note: Fast Play claims/pays are listed in the Online section. Xpress Games claims/pays are listed separately in the Xpress Games Daily/Weekly Activity reports, but are grouped into the Online section in the Weekly Settlement/Combined Settlement reports.

Other Information on Payment & Claims for Each Game Type Draw Games:

Winning tickets are valid up to one year from the draw date. Exchange Ticket: Players who cash a ticket for a prize on a multi-draw ticket that still has draws remaining receive an Exchange Ticket for the remaining draws. Give this ticket back to the player.

Scratch-Offs: Winning tickets are valid up to one year from the announced End Sale date.

Fast Play Games: Winning tickets are valid up to one year from the date purchased.

Prize amounts up to and including $600.00: Payouts appear in the Pay section of all activity and settlement reports.

Prize amounts over $2,500.00: An entry appears in the Claim Only section without a dollar amount.

Prize amounts between $600.01 and $2,500.00: First Scan (Claim Receipt): An entry appears in the Claim (Pay) section without a dollar amount. Second Scan (Cash Receipt/Validate Ticket): Payouts appear in the Pay (Claim) section. Note: If another retailer previously completed only the first scan and you perform the second scan and receive a Cash Receipt/Validate Ticket, your reports will not capture information under the Claim portion. Instead, it will only appear in the totals under payouts.
