PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This 64-hour program is composed of 8 concentrated modules and workshops in teaching Music. It will be offered every Saturday (8:00-5:00) fir 2 months only (June 2019-July 2019). It is designed following the K to 12 Curriculum guide. This program provides non-Music specialist with specialized training in Music content and pedagogy to enable them to be more competent and confident in teaching the subject.

PROGRAM BACKGROUND/RATIONALE: This program is in response to the many queries and requests from both public and private school teachers who are currently handling the subject MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health) in elementary or secondary level. They expressed a felt need for concentrated trainings and workshops in Music Education to make them more component MAPEH teachers. Their desire to upgrade the mastery and competencies in Music content and strategy is inherent and high.
