The following are the purposes for which this organization has been organized: 1. Conduct basketball clinics and research in ways to improve youth players’ academic and social performance especially in the interac- tion to fellow players. Instruct the players the importance of Personal Relationship with the Parents and also with the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ instituting the Fear of God in all their actions on and off the Basketball Court. 2. Conduct basketball tournaments for the youth and adults to promote camaraderie among Filipino-Americans in the greater New York area. 3. Provide financial support to the players dur- ing Intercity Basketball tournaments in the form of uniform, transportation, shelter and food. The Players will be engaged in playing basketball games touring annually in different north American cities including Canada. 4. Expose players to individuals and institu- tions that have actually have or had a roles to play in real life situations modeled in projects, such as Playing in different Universities that provide athletic scholarships. With this level of exposure, the players will gather empirical data of their prospective schools in the context of currently implemented projects. 5. Provide support for players in bridging the gap between the concrete and abstract as ap- plied to basketball game concepts. 6. Improve physical and athletic capabilities of the players and provide methods of daily rou- tine exercises in the preparation of the basket- ball games. 7. Provide monitoring of the players academic progress to substantiate specific after-school Standards. 8. Provide a fun and athletically rich educa- tional alternative for children to go after regu- lar school hours and during summer vacation. and adjacent suburbs.

Offense and Proper balance is learned by our participants during our practices.

The Philippine Basketball Ministry, New York is a not-for-profit organization

committed and dedicated in training and de-veloping young individuals in basketball. We

conduct regular basketball clinics for young groups trained by our ex-

perienced coaches and assisted by some of the former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players. Our goal is to teach and learn the rudiments of the game through the spirit of a teamwork, camaraderie, respect for one another and sportsmanship while maintain-

ing competitiveness in the tournament

representing New York as a major contender in all divisions in the

Philippine Intercity Basketball of North America. We also emphasize through our training the teachings of our Lord Jesus

Christ and the fear of God.
