3. In the initial screen, choose the appropriate radiobutton for “Execute Restore“.

4. Next, choose to execute in Foreground mode.

5. In the next section, enter the name of the application set which is to be restored.

This does not have to be the same as the application set name used in the backup. But if it is thesame, the application set can not already exist. You must first delete the application set beforetrying to restore it on the target system.

Also supply the location of the backup file “SAP_IFRS.zip”, which has been previously extracted(step 1). In this example, the file resides on the frontend PC.

6. Select all three checkboxes “Restore Metadata Tables”, “Restore Master Data” and “RestoreTransaction Data” to do a full restoration of the application set. Also, enter “0” in the “Record count”field to ensure that all transaction data is correctly restored.

Connecting to the application set

1. Launch the Administration Client and connect to the application set.

The user account that must be chosen to connect to the application set is the one that hasBPC_SYSADMIN, BPC_ADMIN and BPC_USER rights. This user account can be identified usingtransaction SE16 to show the content of the table UJA_SVR_DEFAULT.

In case the application set does not appear in the list, it is recommended to run the programUJA3_WRITE_SYSUSERS, using SE38 transaction and indicate the desired user account withoutany machine/domain name, to assign with previously mentioned roles.

2. Select the application set and then choose the action “Set the application set status” in the actionpane.

3. Set the status to “Available” and click on “Update application set status” to complete the operation.
