at marquette university law school, we believe that introducing students to the rewards of pro bono work — legal services performed at no charge, particularly for those in need — is an essential part of our approach to legal education.
But we don’t require our students to donate their time. They do it because they want to — and, last year, they contributed more than 10,000 hours to our volunteer legal clinics
and other pro bono programs.
We commend our students for their service, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.

WHY I CHOSE THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
“
”
I chose Arizona Law for two key reasons—nancial assistance and lifestyle. In addition, it was location, location, location! The people here are incredibly down-to-earth. The students, faculty, and sta are all laid-back, and that appealed greatly to me as a Californian. Not to say that Arizona Law isn’t challenging— because it is—but being part of a school that fosters camaraderie, friendship, and cooperation in a location as informal as Tucson denitely takes the edge o . . . I love this school. CODY, Class of 2016

You’d be surprised how many law school graduates don’t know how to write a brief or file a motion. Kline School of Law grads do. From day one, they gain “real world” skills – from drafting opinions to planning an investigation to writ-ing contracts. So they spend less time memorizing Miranda v. Arizona and more time mastering the fine points of legal practice in co-ops, clinicals and pro bono work. By the time they graduate, they’ll have somewhere between 500 and 1,000 hours of practical, practicing experience. It’s just another way we’re pushing the boundaries of legal education.
