LISA DEMPSEY (Miss Morris): NEW VILLAGE ARTS: Summer and Smoke. Lisa is a recent gradfrom Northeastern University, Boston, MA, with a degree in theatre performance and
production. She was recently seen on the New Village Arts stage as "Rosemary" in Tennessee
Williams' Summer and Smoke. Some of her favorite roles include, "Ulla" in The Producers,"I\delaide" in Guys and Dolls, "The Spirit of Drancy" in The Children of Drancy, and "Audrey" in
LIttle Shop of Horrors. As an Equity Membership Candidate she hopes to continue to build her
Clln~er in the beautiful San Diego area and is grateful for the loving support she has found

photographers in town and has shot photos for NVA, Cygnet and Diversionary, among others.

Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2006, and was a company member for the 2006-2007 seasons.
Upon graduation she received the Charles Jehlinger Award for best actress. She has studied at
Groundlings in Los Angeles, and has performed her stand-up comedy at the LA Improv, the Ha
Ha Cafe, and locally at Tango Del Rey.

GEORGE AXELROD (Playwright): From Broadway comedies like TheSeven Year Itch (1952), WillSuccessSpoil Rock Hunter? (1955) and Goodbye Charlie (1959) to adroit screen adaptations of
William Inge's Bus Stop (1956), Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and Richard
Condon's Manchurian Candidate (1962), Mr. Axelrod was celebrated for a quirky,
sophisticated sensibility that always seemed slightly ahead of the curve. For about a decade
during the 50s and 60s, he was considered one of the hottest and most prolific writers in
Hollywood. Additional movie credits include Phffft! (1956), Paris - When It Sizzles(1964), How10 Murder Your Wife (1965), Lord Love a Duck (1966) and The Secret Life of an American Wife(1968).
I\MI\NDA SITTON (Director): NVA Ensemble Member. Amanda previously directed The HeidiChronicles for New Village Arts. She has won San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Awards for her
:Icting for the past two years - for her work in San Diego Rep's Doubt and New Village Arts'
Gulden Boy. A founding member of NVA's Ensemble, she has appeared in the New Village Arts
productions of Three Sisters, Crimes of the Heart, Sailor's Song, Golden Boy, Dancing atl.ugllfJasa, BeAggressive and Four Dogs and a Bone.

SUSANNA KURNER (Costume Designer): NEW VILLAGE ARTS (as an actor/singer): As You LikeIt, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Susanna previously assistant
costume designed Prelude to a Kiss. She is an accomplished musician and a certified Alexander
Technique teacher. As a singer, she is known for her retro style, which she embodies in her
country band HELLO, TROUBLE and with various jazz bands. Susanna will be appearing as one
of Cinderella's evil step-sisters in NVA's upcoming Into the Woods. www.susannakurner.com.

JENN TYRER (Stage Manager): NVA: Debut. Jenn is so excited to finally be working at NewVillage Arts! Having stage managed in and around San Diego for 20 years, some of Jenn'sfavorite shows include Last Night of Ballyhoo at Scripps Ranch Theater, The 2007 Fritz Blitz,State of the Art a Play in Two Acts at Twiggs, and The Patte Awards for the past three years.She is thankful to Tim for suggesting her for The 7 Year Itch and Amanda for taking the chance,and to the always supportive Charles, Guard the boat, mind the tide ... don't touch my dirt.
TANNER WESTON (Assistant Stage Manager): NVA: Prom Night (actor). Tanner would like to
thank the whole NVA family for this amazing opportunity. Thanks to the cast for being sotalented and good to work with. To the crew - I've never had so much fun on a show. Uponreturning to UCLA'sSchool of Theatre, Film and Television, Tanner will be a senior acting majoreagerly awaiting the real world and all it has to offer.
