BoatingCanoe and row boat rentals are available on HemlockLake or Spruce Lake depending on time of year andavailability; call park office for information. Car-topboats are allowed by permit only. No motors allowed.
Team BuildingIn addition to group camping, there is a ropes challengecourse (reservations required) for organized groups. Thecourse includes a zip line, and high and ropes it alsoconsists of low ropes elements that accommodate peo-ple of all abilities. The elements vary in height from 1.5feet to 50 feet above ground and foster teamworkthrough challenging situations in a safe and a fun envi-ronment.

The 1,082 acre Sal J. Prezioso Mountain
Lakes Park is Westchester’s northern-
most county park. Acquired by the
county in 1961, it is characterized by a
rugged landscape and native hardwood
forests, rock outcroppings, meandering
streams, beautiful views, the highest
mountain in Westchester County and
quiet trails. Aptly named, the park
boasts five lakes and a spectacular
overlook which makes for breathtaking
hiking destinations.
Organized Groups Do you need a place for a large gathering for yourschool group, organization or company? The spaciousand newly renovated Mess Hall is available for use byorganized groups, accommodating up to 300 people.The commercial kitchen is available for use only with alicensed caterer. If you are looking for an even biggeradventure, rent the yurt village for an overnight and anexperience your group will always remember.
Camping• Available year-round in open-face lean-tos. Sleepingcapacity is limited to eight people per shelter with theexception of two sites that can accommodate 16 peo-ple. Each shelter has an outside grill for cooking, a des-ignated fire ring for campfires and a picnic table.
• Individual yurts, our entire yurt village or our camp di-rector’s cabin can be rented daily or weekly from Maythrough June and mid-August through October eachyear. Yurts can accommodate 10 people and the direc-tor’s cabin can accommodate four. The yurts providesleeping quarters only, whereas the director’s cabin of-fers full amenities, excluding linens, towels, toiletriesand food. The yurts and director’s cabin are not heated.
• Want to stay in the outdoors, but want all of theamenities of home? Laurel Cottage, located on beauti-ful Laurel Lake, is also available year-round and cansleep four comfortably (six maximum). The cottage isheated and has an indoor wood burning stove, an out-side fire ring for campfires, picnic tables, screened-inporch, deck and a row boat.
Camping permits, available to adults age 21 and older,are required and issued at the park office.

Camp MortyTakes place each July through mid August and
offers a quality outdoor sleepaway camp experience for children who are under the care
of the Department of Social Services. Emphasis isplaced on environmental awareness and sustainable living in a cooperative setting.
Rules and Regulations• Park closes at dusk except to registered
permit holders.
• Alcohol is prohibited.
• Dogs must be leashed at all times.
• No bikes are permitted on trails.
• A carry-in/out policy is in effect for litter and garbage.
