From the Deputy Principals’ Desks School holidays Term 3 holidays will start in two weeks. Our last day in Term 3 is 21 September. School resumes for all students on Monday 8 October. Last Two Weeks for our Year 12 students The next two weeks will be the last two school weeks for our Year 12 students before they go on study break to prepare themselves for the HSC exams. We hope they will make full use of this time to consolidate all learning. We wish all our students “Good Luck and Best Wishes.” We will miss you Year 12s!. Uniform With the weather warming up there should be no more excuses about wearing the wrong jumpers. Student must wear the school uniform as per school policy. Continued failure to do so will incur some consequences. We advise all students to purchase the right uniform from the uniform shop which is open Tue and Wed from 8:30 to 9:30 am and Thurs from 1 to 2 pm. Skateboards and Scooters Skateboards and scooters ARE NOT TO BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL. Students are not to use skateboards or scooters to travel to and from school. The school cannot take responsibilities for the supervision of student skateboards and scooters. Students are not to ride their skateboards and scooters at Bondi Junction Interchange or the Bondi Junction mall. It is potentially dangerous and unacceptable behaviour to use the interchange or the mall as a park for skateboarding or scooter riding. If students want to ride their skateboards and scooters with their friends after school they must go home first to pick up their boards and scooters, and then must ride them in appropriate places….not shopping malls or bus and train stations. Important information about school sign in or out procedures for Year 11 and 12 students If Year 11 or 12 students do not have timetabled lesson period 1 at the beginning of the school day they do not have to attend roll call. They MUST register their attendance by signing in at the Administration Office, eg a ‘study period’ period 1. They MUST ARRIVE TO SCHOOL and sign in before 10 am. To sign in for a ‘late start’ students must produce their timetable showing that they do not have a lesson on Period 1. This procedure must be completed in time for students to attend their first class of the day. ie by 10am. Early Finish; Senior Sign-out book. Student in years 11 and 12 may leave school at the end of their timetabled lessons if they have a ‘study period’ period 6. Students MUST SIGN OUT of school indicating TAFE or Study Period in the senior sign-out book at the Administration office. Homework Centre A reminder that the Homework Centre is available to all students from 3:20 pm to 5:00 pm every Monday and Thursday in the library. We encourage parents to remind their children of this wonderful resource to assist students with their learning. Year 11 Exams Students will be undertaking their yearly exams for the next two weeks. Good Luck to all students. We wish that all the preparations you have done will serve you well and we look forward to seeing you all back in Term 4 ready to start Year 12 work. Welcome Ms Mandy Kaur Ms Kaur replaces Ms Munro in the Mathematics Faculty. She comes with many years of teaching experience and is looking forward to know our School Community more. She can be found in the B Block Staff room.
