    Objectives: This game aims to test the agility of each members of a group as they are

    competing against the allotted time and the contending groups. Generally

    the game tests the membersphysical agility and mental alertness as they

    face each stage. The cooperation of the other members is also a must in

    winning the game.

    Overview: The game consists of three stages. In Stage I, one member of a group isblindfolded and the other members will guide him/her to the basket of balls

    which he/she must collect as many as he/she can. He/she will then bringthe balls to the thrower waiting in Stage II. The thrower throws one ball

    at a time over a curtain blocking the catcher on the other side. When the

    catcher has caught ten balls, the group then proceeds to Stage III. In StageIII, one member is given a popular quotation which he/she must act out

    without any sound, lip movement, or standard sign language. The rest of

    the members must guess the exact wording of the quotation. The groupwho finishes the first or reaches the farthest wins the game.

    General Rules and Guidelines:

    there must be at least two (2) groups each composed of the same numberof members at least five (5)

    the entire game must be completed within five (5) to ten (10) minutes timeframe, unless otherwise stipulated by the game master/ organizer

    all the groups will perform simultaneously and the 10-minute countdownshall begin as soon as the game starts

    the exact time a group reaches or finishes a particular stage must berecorded

    the group who finishes the entire game within the allotted time will bedeclared the champion but in the event more than one (1) group finishes

    the game, the group who has finished the first or who has the shortest time

    will be declared the champion

    in the event the 10-minute allotted time is over, the group who reaches thefarthest (based on their time as well) will be declared the champion

    no bullying is allowed, proper conduct must be observed, any misconductor explicit showing of improper behavior serves as ground for terminationor disqualification of a member or of an entire group

    no coaching or cheating each contender must adhere to the mechanics of the game, the master shall

    strictly observe that the game is played according to the rules of thumb

    MECHANICS OF THE GAME

    Stage I: Balls and the Blindfold

    Materials/Equipment Needed: 2550 paper or plastic/rubber balls 25 inches

    diameter, basket to contain the balls, blindfoldGame Proper

    1. Each group will blindfold one of their members. The blindfoldedmember from each group will stand five (5) metres from the basket of

    balls.

    2. Two members of each are waiting in the Stage II. One is the throwerand the other is the catcher. (See Stage II for details)

    3. The rest of the members stand on the side of the path the blindfoldedmember will take. They must remain on their position two meters fromthe path.

    4. The Game Master shall turn the blindfolded persons five times beforeheading to the basket.

    5. The other members then give signal and guide the blindfolded memberon his/her way to the basket. The guiding members must only shout the

    words left, right,forward, backwards,stop,pick, and the name of theblindfolded member.

    6. The blindfolded member listens carefully and tunes in to the voices ofhis/her group mates and then follows the direction they give. When

    he/she reaches the basket and the rest saypick, he/she must collect balls

    as many as he/she can carry using only the hands and/or the forearms.7. He/she then must be guided again by the guiding members using only

    the allowed words on his/her way to the thrower in Stage II and give

    him/her the balls he/she has fetched.8. In the event the amount of balls cannot suffice the required number of

    balls to be caught by the catcher in Stage II, the blindfolded member

    can still go back and fetchanother set of balls

    provided that the other

    members guide his/her

    along his/her way.

    Stage II: Catch Against the Curtain

    Materials/Equipment: a nontransparent, nontransluscent large curtain(preferably black) 1ft taller than any of the members of a group, frame to

    support the curtain upright, small headbasket

    Game Proper

    1. The location for this stage may be right behind the initial standinglocation of the blindfolded person so that he/she will only go to and fro

    as he/she fetches balls.2. Two members from the group aside from the guiding members will

    serve as the catcher and thrower in this stage.

    3. The curtain must be set upright two (2) to three (3) metres between thethrower and the catcher. The curtain must be marked to divide each

    groups thrower and catcher, or separate curtains may be set up for each

    group.4. The thrower receives the balls as the blindfolded member turns them

    over him/her. The thrower throws the ball one at a time over theblocking curtain and the catcher must collect five (5) balls

    5. The throwermust remain on a line two metres off the curtain. Thecatchercan move anywhere to catch the balls that fall upon him/her

    using his/her headbasket and without using his/her hands or arms.6. The soonest the catcher catches ten (5) balls. The group now proceeds

    to the final stage.7. In the event the catcher still has not collected the required number of

    balls when the thrower has thrown them all out, the blindfolded personmust return to the basket and fetch more balls provided that the other

    members guide him/her on his/her way to the basket and thrower.

    Stage III: Quote Charades

    Materials/Equipment: draw box, set of quotes written on 10 small pieces ofpaper and rolled

    Game Proper1. One member from each group will serve as the actor. The group then

    decides how the actor will act to decode the quotation he/she will be

    selecting. They may decide to have their own actions on how certain

    words such prepositions, conjunctions, transitions, articles (a, an, the)and other common words will be acted out.

    2. The actor then picks one small piece from the draw box and memorizethe written quotation word-for-word.

    3. The actor now begins to act out the quote for the rest of group withoutusing any sounds, lip movement or standard sign language.

    4. The other members of a group then make guesses until they can givethe Game Master the quotation word-for-word.

    5.No cheating or coaching is allowed. Each group must concentrate ontheir own quote-guessing activity.

    6. The group who gives the quote word-for-word to the Game Master willbe declared champion.

    SAFETY MEASURES

    ! Plastic or rubber balls are risky when they are scattered on the ground orfloor, which may cause someone to stumble. Remove these balls

    immediately when they fall off and scatter on the ground.

    ! Make sure the game is played on a wide, open area. The blindfoldedperson may be misguided and misled.

    ! Headbasket must be stiff, comfortable, and securely placed on the head ofthe catcher to avoid the balls to hit him/her barely on the head.

    ! The curtain must be secured on its frame; the frame must be placed firmlyon the ground.
