    Course Entry Requirements

    GCE A to C OR LEVEL 3

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    The criteria for joining this course is as follows:

    MIN. 5.0 LEVEL 4 OR 5

    LEVEL 3 OR 120 UCAS

    BTEC Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or related studies (Extended Diploma -12 Units) or 120 UCAS points (or 48 new UCAS points from Sept 2017)GCE Advanced Level profile demonstrating strong performance in a relevant subjectThis is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to COther related Level 3 qualification (like a European Baccalaureate)Access to Higher Education CertificateRelated work experience Functional Skills: English (Literacy) Level 2 and Maths (Numeracy) Level 1Students who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied the final two years of school in English, can demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to: IELTS 5.5, with a minimum of 5.0 being awarded on individual sections for a Level 4 or 5 qualification.

  • Application ProcessSTEP 1. A pre-admission (enquiry) form to be submitted to gain one-to-one information, advice or guidance (IAG) about the course and the college.

    STEP 2. An application form must be submitted with all necessary original documents that meet the course entry requirements.Documents to Submit:

    • Valid ID proof • 2 passport sized photographs • All educational documents • Proof of work experience (for the category of mature learners)• Updated CV • Personal statement • Proof of Address• UK Residency status

    STEP 3. An assessment interview and test will follow once the application form and necessary documents have been submitted.

    STEP 4. A conditional place will be offered once the assessment outcome is positive and an unconditional place will be offered upon the fulfilment of all conditions as per the initial offer.

  • Over a period of two years, you will be expected to achieve at least 245 credits, stud-ying a range of core and optional modules focusing on different disciplines within the health and social care industry. There will also be an opportunity to join work placements, enabling you to learn from industry professionals in a busy working environment.

    Course Structure

    Students may consider continuing their academic progression and pursuing a full honours degree. Many universities in the UK provide exemptions for the first or first two years of the three year graduate programme.
