If you’re interested in learn-ing the practical core skills nec-essary to succeed as an IT professional, the BTEC Level 5 HND in Computing is for you. The new HND in Computing (starting September 2017) has been developed to prepare students for the tasks and is-sues they might face as an IT professional.

The array of specialist modules and prac-tical activities mean you will become ac-customed to the working practices and learn the key skills necessary to succeed in your future career.

Course Entry Requirements

BTEC Level 3 qualification or 120 UCAS points (or 48 new UCAS points from Sept 2017)

GCE Advanced level profile demonstrating strong performance in a relevant subject. This is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C

Other related Level 3 qualification (like a European Baccalaureate)

An Access to Higher Education Certificate

Related work experience

Students who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied the final two years of school in English can demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to: IELTS 5.5, with a minimum of 5.0 being awarded on individual sections for a Level 4 or 5 qualification

Application ProcessSTEP 1. A pre-admission (enquiry) form to be submitted to gain one-to-one information, advice or guidance (IAG) about the course and the college.

STEP 2. An application form must be submitted with all necessary original documents that meet the course entry requirements.

Documents to Submit: - Valid ID proof - 2 passport sized photographs - All educational documents - Proof of work experience (for the category of mature learners) - Updated CV - Personal statement - Address proof - UK residency status

STEP 3. An assessment interview and test will follow once the application form and necessary documents have been submitted.

STEP 4. A conditional place will be offered once the assessment outcome is positive, and an unconditional place will be offered upon the fulfilment of all conditions as per the initial offer.
