Course InformationThe Section of Pediatric Dermatology of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in conjunction with the Department of Dermatology of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, announces a comprehensive program on pediatric skin disorders. The 2020 course will be held at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Joseph Stokes Jr. Auditorium and nearby area conference rooms on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. The registration fee includes course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, breaks and parking.

The course is directed toward practicing dermatologists, pediatricians, family practitioners, resident physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and allied healthcare professionals. Participants will receive current information on dermatologic disorders in neonates, children and adolescents.

Highlights of the course include:• State-of-the-art information on pediatric skin diseases• Live patient viewing and discussion• Workshops and panel discussions, including more in-depth interactive sessions with experts in

pediatric dermatology

ObjectivesUpon completion of this course, participants should be able to:1. Review the indications and use of new topical and systemic drugs in the treatment of common

pediatric skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and acne2. Learn to differentiate the causes of oral mucosal and genital skin disorders3. Review skin signs such as vascular stains and pigmented skin lesions that may be indicative of

underlying systemic disease4. Identify causes of contact dermatitis among pediatric athletes5. Recognize features of pediatric autoflammatory disorders that have skin manifestations

Hotel AccommodationsA block of rooms with reduced rates has been reserved at the Sheraton University City Hotel, 36th and Chestnut streets, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The group rates are $172 single and double occupancy, plus a 16.37% room tax. Participants are required to make their own reservations by calling the Sheraton directly at 888-627-7071 or 215-387-8000. Please mention the CHOP Pediatric Dermatology Conference. The special room rate will be available until Tuesday, March 17, 2020. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.

Cancellation and Refund PolicyChildren’s Hospital of Philadelphia reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will refund any registration fees, less a service charge, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including cancellation charges assessed by airlines/travel agencies. In order to process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellations must be received in writing by Monday, April 6, 2020. No refunds will be issued thereafter. Refunds will be issued for the amount of registration minus a $50 service charge.
