By Fraser Walker-PearceTHE NEW Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club is a step closer to finally rebuilding its earthquake-damaged clubhouse.

Club officials will meet soon with the city councils Develop-ment Christchurch Ltd.

DCL is holding $1 million for the rebuild of the clubrooms.

The money was approved by the city council recently in the annual plan.

Once DCL is happy with where the $1 million will be used and

how it will be spent, it will release the funds for the rebuild.

The club needs to raise between $750,000 to $1 mil-lion for the rebuild which could cost up

to $3 million.Club president James Gaskell

(above) said the money would be a huge boost for the club, and its am-bitions of rebuilding their broken clubhouse.

Its quite a big bit of money for us, insurance didnt favour us too much in looking at the clubhouse . . . so its something were heavily dependent on, he said.

He said the club had already

raised just under a third of the anticipated cost.

With what the club has in the bank at the moment, wed be just under a third.

If we get this council funding, it will cover a third, and were now looking for a final third . . . I would say were looking at between $2.5 to $3 million, for the whole pro-ject, he said.

Mr Gaskell said the club is now looking at preparing a feasibility report by August.

The club will send the report to the Lotteries Commission, to en-hance the chances of securing the extra funding needed to progress the project.

The club is also asking local busi-nesses, not-for-profit organisations, club members and residents in the area to put forward their ideas on why the club is important to New Brighton.

We know its really needed in our eyes, but its also about having that need backed up by the com-munity . . . we want to build some-thing great for the community, he said.

  • SERIAL BURGLARSix properties around Bridge St in South New Brighton were targeted by burglars over the past two weeks. All properties were targeted between 9am and 5pm. Detective Sergeant Damon Wells said no one had been arrested in relation to the burglaries yet, but police are reviewing CCTV footage and awaiting the results of forensic evidence.

MUFTI-MANIANew Brighton Catholic School was full of wacky hair and crazy socks on Friday the last day of term. The school hosted a mufti-mania day, which saw lots of effort and creativity put into some new and different hair styles. Each year, the school puts on a mufti-day to support a special cause. This year money the raised will go to a school in the Solomon Islands.

KERB REPAIRSA new storm water drain and repairs to the kerb and channel are part of an ongoing repair programme on Beach Rd in North New Brighton. The work is being undertaken by the Stronger Infrastructure Rebuild Team and is expected to finish on August 19.

    NewsIn Brief

By Fraser Walker-PearceA SERVICE station attendant had a lucky escape when a motorist who had stolen petrol allegedly tried to run him down.

The incident happened recently at Mobil Wainoni when a motorist in a Mazda took off without paying for a full tank of petrol.

The employee, only wanting to be called Saj, saw the man acting suspiciously in the forecourt and asked him to come inside after he had finished filling up his car so his face could be caught on the CCTV cameras.

Saj told the man, whose credit card declined, that he could access an ATM at the PaknSave across the road.

Mobil Wainoni owner An-drew Elliott said at that point Saj went outside to check the mans car.

    While he was across the

road, Saj looked and saw there was two different number plates on the car.

Thats when he became suspicious that it was a stolen car, he said.

When the man came back from the ATM, he did not go into the store, but rather into his car and began to drive away.

When the man returned from the PaknSave, he jumped in his car and Saj ran

outside after him onto the footpath. The guy saw him, did a big u-turn and drove up onto the footpath, aiming for him. So Saj had to run behind the lamp post, he said.

The man skidded past the lamp post and drove away, leaving Saj unharmed, but shaken up.

I think (Saj) was just run-ning out to get his attention, yelling where are you going type of thing, rather than

actually chasing after him, Mr Elliott said.

    He called the police imme-diately.

Theyve just logged it in their systems, and got the details. Its a wait and see kind of thing. I mean he tried to run someone over, so he needs to be stopped, he said.

A police spokeswoman said they are following lines of inquiry to locate the driver and the vehicle in question.

Dean Lester, The Peoples Choice candidate for the Coastal Ward in Octobers local body elections, talks about the need for looking forward with practicality in mind.

The new Coastal Ward is a jewel in our city. Stretching from Brooklands to Southshore, then west to Travis Wetland and east to the sea, it in-cludes natural assets that are prized by all of us.

We are recovering from a disaster a recovery that will continue for many years to come which has seen the jewel of this area lose some of its radiance and attraction.

The focus now is generally about looking ahead, and we need to do so with reality-based planning that identifies and considers the resourc-es of the community and determin-ing what we can actually afford.

We love the area that is the Coastal Ward because of its plentiful and easy access to natural habitat and landscapes.

While human built enhancements over the years, such as QE II, the pier and salt water pools, have increased the number of leisure and recrea-

tional attractions, there is no greater reason to visit than to enjoy what mother nature has provided.

Our physical and mental health improves because we can enjoy Spencer Park, Bottle Lake Forest Park, the expansive beach, or a stroll beside the estuary (yes, a walking path needs to be re-instated here).

In our practical planning, we need to make sure we create a fair go culture so that as many people as possible are given a voice and heard, not only the loudest and best organised, but those that speak in a whisper as well.

There is no silver bullet that will come in the form of a singular con-crete structure, and there shouldnt be either, because we love and cher-ish the sea and natural environment in this part of paradise.

We need a safe, accessible and clear way forward that is smart. And there isnt a better place to consider and plan that than in the Coastal Ward.

    The future of theCoastal Ward

By Mark Thomas Fire Risk Management Officer

IVE SPENT much of the last week in the North Island.

Firstly in Rotorua, where I visited the New Zealand Fire Service training facility for the first time.

It is one extremely impres-sive complex, with full a number of buildings provid-ing scenarios for training from cars to houses to commercial buildings, aircraft and ships.

Its a quantum leap from the bare concrete yard and tower that sufficed 35 years ago.

While I was away, fire crews attended the normal range

of incidents including, un-surprisingly, four kitchen fires.

These ranged from an overcooked chicken breast in Dallington to a full house fire in Barbadoes St last Friday.

I almost despair that the message, keep looking while youre cooking continues to be ignored by many in our community.

The result can be life shat-tering.

One of the features of fine days at this time of year is that the sun travels low in the sky.

This provided a shock for the owner of a house in Hill-morton returning home just

before 5pm on Tuesday. She found two cushions

quietly smouldering away in her lounge.

The setting sun was reflect-ing perfectly from a small con-cave mirror on to the couch.

In this case she was lucky. She came home just in time.Electric fans today have an

oscillating feature that widens the dispersal of air.

A fan against a wall that prevented this movement in St Martins last week was found to be overheating. Again just in time.

But another thing that can ruin your life.

  • TWO PUPILS one from Shirley Intermediate and the other from St Albans School were the voices behind a supermarket initiative to celebrate Maori Language Week.

Amiria Tikao, 12, and her younger sister Matakaea, 9, had their voices professionally recorded in a sound studio to help SuperValue and FreshChoice customers better understand the Maori language.

The sisters were recorded pro-nouncing items such as apples, mushrooms, fish, milk, meat, kiwifruit and cheese, along with many others.

Amiria said it was a fun project to be involved with.

It was really cool. It took about 45mins, so not very long . . . we got most of the words first time, which was good, she said.

    Local SuperValue and Fresh-

Choice supermarkets then put posters up around their stores, with a QR code that customers could scan with their cell phone. The code led to a website where they could hear the two pupils correctly pronounce the word.

Amiria said she had not yet tested out the posters, but she would think about going in later.

SuperValue and FreshChoice brands manager Liz de Lange said that when the campaign was run last year, the QR codes were used thousands of times.

NEW BRIGHTON will soon become home to a sensory garden a playground where children can experience nature first hand.

The garden is intended to be a wheelchair accessible environ-ment so that any child, able bodied or not, can take full ad-vantage of the edible plants with differing textures and smells.

Work may begin as soon as this weekend on the project, which was initiated by SmileDial New Zealand a charity sup-porting families raising children with special needs.

It will be constructed by the Stronger Christchurch Infra-structure Rebuild Team on a 23m by 43m plot of land in the New Brighton Community Garden.

The installation alone is worth about $20,000.

The initial idea came about through SmileDial New Zealand chief executive Kelly Dugan (below), who said it came to him

    more than three years ago.

I want to move away from the standard play-ground with swings and slides and all

    that, which are still cool.

But I think that were getting a whole generation of kids who spend too little time outside playing with nature, climbing trees, and eating apples they pick off the tree, Mr Dugan said.

He drew inspiration for the project from his own daughter, Lucia, who has a disability but wants to experience things that everyone else does.

Usually when I take her to a park, she has to adapt to the environment in the park. What were doing is were creating a

place that is adapted to her, he said.

Mr Dugan said that after work had gone into the garden, its overall value will be signifi-cantly higher.

If we take into consideration volunteer hours, donated goods, and labour, the overall financial value of the garden will be around $400,000.

The vast majority of that cost is covered by tradespeople donat-ing their time, along with com-panies donating their gardening products free of charge.

READY TO GO: The sensory garden will be built on a plot of land at the New Brighton Community Garden in Rawhiti Domain.

SCIRTs five year programme of repairs to pipes, roads, bridges and retaining walls is now 91% complete and will finish in December.

Almost 80% of our repair programme is focused on the citys underground pipe networks.

SCIRT has replaced 715km of pipes the distance of a return trip between Christchurch and Dunedin. These pipes are now invisibly doing their important job below ground.

Were more than three-quarters through connecting homes in Aranui to the new resilient vacuum system. This will be completed in the next few months.

Were more than halfway through the extensive repairs to the wastewater, storm water, fresh water and roading networks in Parklands.

The three-year programme of repairs to the wastewater, storm water, fresh water and roads in Burwood is due to finish in the next few months.

Work in North New Brighton is mostly complete. The rest of New Brighton will still see major works to the wastewater network and crews repairing small roading patches until December.

    The principals will

travel to New Orleans, in the United States, and Toronto, Canada, to take part in two new training programmes.

In New Orleans, the principals will learn about the citys recov-ery 10 years on from Hurricane Katrina.

The disaster had a serious impact on children and their schools, especially in lower

decile areas. They will visit schools in the

Louisiana Recovery School District as well as Tulane Uni-versity.

The trip was made possible because of the schools support for Canterbury University lecturer Kathleen Liberty, who specialises in research projects for junior pupils.

SINGING TALENT: Holly Bowry (left), Ruby Allan, and Mia Ellicott were all picked for the Canterbury Special Choir. The three Queenspark School pupils are now training for the Christchurch Schools Music Festival, taking place in October at Horncastle Arena. Holly and Mia were picked for the junior section, and Ruby was picked for the senior section. More than 200 school-aged children auditioned for the choir.

ALL TOGETHER NOW: A combined 150 voices sang out from Shirley Intermediate School last week. The Shirley Area Music Festival included pupils from Waitakiri, Banks Avenue, Shirley Primary, and Shirley Intermediate schools, who came together to perform. The pupils sang classic songs from Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, Annie, and Oliver. They included numbers such as Food Glorious Food, and Id Do Anything. The festival used to be held annually at Shirley Boys High until the February 22, 2011, earthquake damaged the schools hall. It is still held annually, but is now performed at Shirley Intermediate.

  • PROMISING young loose-forward Tom Christie is working towards a professional rugby career and a job in civil engineering, thanks to the support of Crusaders partner Infor.

Christie is in his first year at the Crusaders Academy, having captained Shirley Boys High Schools first XV in one of its most successful seasons last year.

Under Christies captaincy, Shirley made the final of the UC Championship the Crusaders-region secondary schools compe-tition for only the second time in the schools history.

He was also named the schools sportsman of the year in 2015 and made the New Zealand Secondary Schools squad.

He is in his first year of an engineering degree at the Uni-versity of Canterbury and hopes to do well enough to secure a spot in the civil engineering course from next year.

In a normal week, Ill be at university from about 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with training at 6am two mornings a week before I head to uni.

Then in the evenings, I train as well with Canterbury under-19s on Mondays, club training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and academy training on Wednes-

days. Saturdays are full with games as well. So it is busy, but I enjoy what I have set up and I wouldnt have it any other way, he said.

Infor a business application software provider launched the

Infor University Rugby Scholar-ship last year.

The scholarship is for $5000 a year to assist the selected Cru-saders Academy player in pursu-ing studies at the University of Canterbury.

By Gordon FindlaterTHE Celebration Lions Sports Trust is hoping to get permission to go ahead with a plan to install two new football pitches on a section of QE II Park.

The planned development would be in partnership with Parklands United Sports Club.

The two organisations have had an informal agreement over the past eight years, with the trusts football teams playing under the Parklands United umbrella.

The planned development would only use a small section of the QE II site and consist of two artificial football turfs, a

    grandstand and changing room facilities.

Parklands United are a club thats growing. With around 1000 members playing a num-ber of sporting codes, there is a need for more facilities, said the trusts manager Corey Watkinson.

The city council will decide the projects future after the Oc-tober elections, when work on a master plan for the future use of QE II will begin.

Weve had several meetings with council. Theres a general openness, but we will have to wait to see what they do, said Mr Watkinson.

The project is expected to cost around $4 million.

BEAUTIFUL GAME: Two local sporting organisations hope to team-up to develop two new artificial football fields at QE II Park.

  • Our People

Hey Rebekah, how have the rehearsals been going?

It has been a fast rehearsal process but it is a lot of fun and laughs. There are three actors. Unlike me, the other two ac-tors get to do a lot of costume changes and swapping between other roles so I have the easy job in that sense.

How come the mermaid in this show is called PJ rather than the Princess Ariel we all know from Disney?

The show, adapted by Alison Horsley, has incorporated the story of Pania of the Reef. There is a statue in Napier and she is part of Maori mythology. It is a New Zealand story. So PJ the mermaid is the grand-daughter of Pania of the Reef. It is defi-nitely a more localised story.

Have you grown up watching the Disney version of The Little Mermaid?

Definitely. Religiously. So how does it feel to be the

mermaid of the show?It is very exciting and a bit

nerve-racking because I think lots of people have The Little Mermaid in their head already. I am looking forward to creating my own version. Hopefully that is something people enjoy.

How are you planning to por-tray yourself differently to The Little Mermaid we all know?

Ariel was a large inspiration for the character but that is quite an American story so I have tried to make myself into more of a Kiwi mermaid. The wonder-ful work from the costume ladies has helped. The magnificent tails, with loads of sequins fellow actor Jane and I both wear, make it easy to take on the character.

Following on from study-ing at Christchurchs National Academy of Singing and Dra-

matic Art are you performing full-time?

I am trying to perform full-time but it is a bit tricky be-cause performing jobs only last a month or two. You rehearse them for two weeks and then

perform them for two weeks. I have been moving around Auck-land, Christchurch and Hawkes Bay in the last few months with various kids shows. Last year, I toured around New Zealand and Australia for a few months with

the New Zealand Playhouse.Would touring Australia be

the main highlight since leav-ing NASDA?

Definitely touring Australia for 10 months was a highlight. It was a crazy experience I saw a lot of cool places. We started in Brisbane and went all the way across to Perth. We drove all the way, too. We performed high school and primary school shows.

Our show for high schools was an adaptation of the Importance of Being Earnest byOscar Wilde. Our primary school show was called Jack Flash and the Jumping Beanstalk. They were 50 minute shows and they were performed three times a day.

Do you ever get tired of the performing lifestyle?

No, but the performing life-style is a specific one. I feel like I have spent the last two years living out of a suitcase, which perhaps isnt everybodys lifestyle choice, but I love it and wont be stopping anytime soon.

What was NASDA like be-cause I hear it is tough?

I think any performing school is tough. You learn a lot about yourself because it is a very vul-nerable craft to be doing.

The Little Mermaid will be visiting The Court Theatre as part of her big above-sea experience. Played by Rebekah Head, she spoke to Georgia OConnor-Harding about playing mythical Maori character Pania of the Reefs mermaid grand-daughter, living out of a suitcase and what she hopes to do next.

EMERGING PERFORMER: Former NASDA student Rebekah Head is making her way in the performing arts industry in New Zealand.

  • What did you learn about yourself?

I suppose you learn how you behave as a person with other people when you are under a lot of pressure. There are quite a lot of time pressures at NASDA. A lot of creative art cant be forced. You learn a lot when you are pushed to your limits.

What do you enjoy about childrens shows compared to the other shows you have done?

One of the most exciting things about childrens theatre is that children are the most honest audience members you are ever going to get. If they are not enjoying a show they will let you know because they will start moving around. It is exciting hearing all the things yelled out as well.

What do you think about the relaxed performance for children, including those with an Autism Spectrum Condition or learning disability?

I think it is wonderful they are making this show acces-sible for people who wouldnt feel comfortable bringing their children to the theatre. Children are always yelling out different things so I dont think it would be too different for us.

Tell me about the other per-formers in the show.

In the Disney performance Eric is known as the Prince. But in our show, Isaac Pawson is playing a character called Dylan. But I wouldnt really call him a prince. It is a modern tale of The Little Mermaid. He is just a cool guy who lives in Christchurch. Jane Leonard will be playingPa-nia of the Reefand Panias evil sister Kelpie. Pania of the Reef is a New Zealand character but

Kelpie the evil twin has more of a Cruella De Vil type of vibe.

So whats next? After this I am going to go

travelling to Europe for a month. I am starting off in London and then going to Barcelona. It is more of an overseas experience. I will be watching a lot of shows. I already have a lot booked at West End in London. I am go-ing to Matilda The Musical, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, which The Court

Theatre is doing next year. When I come home it will be back into the performing.

Going to West End, are there any companies you dream of performing for in the future?

The Court Theatre was some-thing I have always hoped to per-form [for] and I feel lucky to be performing with them, so hope-fully again one day. I would also like to perform for the Auckland Theatre Company. Obviously, the West End would be an amazing dream come true but it is one in the distance.

I saw in on your biography you are a member of Equity New Zealand? What is that all about?

Basically, it is a union for ac-tors somewhere to go if they need help with sorting out con-tracts or finding out your rights as an actor. Just making sure you are looked after. They offer free workshops to actors to extend their performing skills. I think it is important to join this sup-port system. It is also a wonder-ful way to stay connected with other actors in the industry. I have been a member for two years.

And last but not least, why do you think people should come

to The Little Mermaid? It is a fun, funny show that has

something for everyone. I am excited to be doing a kids show that has lots of songs in it as well. I think putting songs in a kids show creates a wonderful flow.

It has been awesome work-ing with Matt Everingham who has done all the music. All of us actors are ex-NASDA students which is cool.

The Little Mermaid will run at The Court Theatre from July 13-23.

CHILDRENS THEATRE: Rebekah is no stranger to performing for children. Here she is in April playing Molly in Cops and Robbers.

ABOVE THE SEA: Rebekah will play the role of The Little Mermaid in the upcoming production at The Court Theatre.

Popstars - The 90s MusicalOutdoor Educationon Tuesday 7 June, the Senior outdoor education class embarked on an overnight adventure to Mt oxford. Faced with well-below-zero temperatures, the first thing on the agenda was to light a bonfire to keep us toasty and the marshmallows of course!

For dinner, students cooked spuds on the open fire some were boiled, some were baked, and some made fries.

after a chilly night in the tents, we were up at 5.30am for bacon, eggs, spaghetti and hot chocolate before we attempted to climb Mt oxford. By 8am, we were an hour into the climb and we had the most eerily warm weather and we were stripping down the layers of clothing even though we were standing in a few inches of snow. We made it half way up, and then Year 12 student Dallas had a run-in with a tree (literally), and we decided it was best to make the tramp down to camp. By this stage we were in a foot of beautiful powdery snow so we had an epic snow fight before we departed. although we were disappointed we could not continue to the summit, we had an awesome time and we look forward to our next adventure.

The Principals DeskStudents enjoying and sharing their learning is what i enjoy the most as Principal. This is evident in events such as school productions. our recent Popstars the 90s Musical production provided students an opportunity to step outside their comfort zone and perform in front of their peers, family, and community. i was amazed at the talent of our wonderful performers who sang those familiar 90s musical sounds. i take this opportunity to congratulate the cast, directors, and stagehands on their contribution to wonderful and successful performances. i also congratulate our teachers and parents who helped with rehearsals, costumes, and props. Thank you to you all.

Mairehau high School continues as a solid, viable co-educational school in the east of christchurch. We continue working with other schools, clusters, and community sector groups to develop a plan which will enhance the provision of education for all students in christchurch. all schools want students to access quality education outcomes, to access quality teaching, and quality learning. We can provide a friendly nurturing learning environment for all students. our students are our priority.

Mairehau high School is in a strong position to offer students opportunities which will enable them to become decent, worthwhile citizens of the world, people who will contribute to their communities. Students who pass through our school gates, learn in our classrooms, and access technology through our wireless internet provision will be well set in the future.

Future of Mairehau High School property

Mairehau high School will be entering the Master Planning building stage this July. The Ministry of education (Moe), school and community are expecting roll growth in the near future. as a school and community, we are planning for the growth in our school.

The school has completed the Moes education Brief which provides a framework for Mairehau high School to develop and document our vision for delivering teaching and learning in the future and how that translates into a property solution that enables and supports Mairehau high Schools education vision.

The governments investment in Mairehau high School is most immediately a response to the earthquakes that have had a significant impact on our schools and community. at the same time, it is important that the educational community uses this unique investment wisely, to ensure re-building provides the best possible platform for effective teaching and learning into the future, informed by increasing knowledge about how children and young people learn and what they need to learn at school to prepare for their futures as connected, capable, life-long learners.

i trust you are able to pass on to your friends and family, the opportunities that a co-education school such as Mairehau high School can provide for christchurch east. Thank you to everyone who attended our open evening and braved the cold winter night.

Open EveningThank you to all those who attended our open evening on Tuesday 31 May. Despite the cold and dreary weather, many prospective students and their families braved the elements to see and enjoy what our wonderful school has to offer.

Many parents and members of our community commented on the helpfulness of our guides. its our students who know our school best, and it was wonderful to hear many of them telling prospective families their feelings towards our school; that they loved being part of a small, community school with a true family feel.

if you missed our open evening for this year, please ring the office for a 2017 Prospectus and we will gladly send it on to you. if you would like to discuss your childs high school education with us, Mrs Shaw, the Principals secretary, will make the necessary appointment.

Smokefree RockquestThe rockquest regional heats were held on 21 May and there were excellent performances from our students.

rebekah Williams was great in the solo section singing her own composition. New Year 9 group heck i Dont Know, made up of ella Peoples, ancke hurter and Tammy reynard, performed especially well.

indispute, made up of Year 13 students lorne Joblin, Kaisie Van Dyk and Fale Polo were also fantastic and were selected for the rockquest regional Final which was held on 1 July. Sadly they didnt move on from the regionals but Kaisie said it was a great experience and he was happy with getting as far as they did.

    Well done to you all.

after 3 months of rehearsals, our drama production for 2016, PoPSTarS the 90s musical was presented to enthusiastic and welcoming audiences, both in the morning matinee and evening performances.

The cast was brilliant, with a few new talents emerging and our seasoned professionals stole the show with fantastic singing and acting.

The production was very well supported by the community. Thank you to everyone who was involved.

Year 12 students pitch in to help Christchurch communityan area of wetland damaged by fire in 2014 was restored to its former glory with help from Mairehau high School students and the university of canterbury Volunteer army (SVa). in 2014, vandals drove a car into halswell Quarry, destroying an area of native planting before setting fire to a section of boardwalk.

in March, Year 12 students Shilah Norman, Kodie North, and Madi Maxwell-Mcginn, alongside the uc SVa, took on the restoration project as part of the SVas uc volunteer programme, and in the space of a few hours transformed the wetland area. The uc programme encourages secondary students to become leaders in their communities through volunteering while being mentored by SVa members.

Despite it being a rainy day the girls, and other students from christchurch schools, arrived eager to get to work. one crew set about rebuilding the damaged boardwalk, another group cleared around young native plantings and another group used bark mulch to restore the pathway.

christchurch city council park rangers Nigel Morritt and robbie hewson worked alongside the volunteers. The students were full of energy and enthusiasm for the project and were a credit to their schools and the organization, they said.

in March, Year 12 students Shilah Norman, Kodie North, and Madi Maxwell-Mcginn, alongside the uc SVa, took on the restoration project as part of the SVas uc volunteer programme, and in the space of a few hours transformed the wetland area.

    Winning ticket on Tui40 Tui Street, FendaltonAuction: 28 July 2016 unless sold prior4 bedrooms | 1 bathroom | 1 toilet | 2 living room | 1 car garage | Listing #: PI55813

Rent, renovate or redevelop? This property could be your lucky ticket, with its mouthwatering array of opportunities for the savvy investor. Situated on a superb 1004sqm freehold corner site with a blue chip Fendalton address, the upside of this house and land couldnt be sweeter.

The substantial character home is presented in very tidy condition. Two generous living areas boast wood panelling and lead lights to excite the character lover, while the roomy separate kitchen is perfectly functional, but ripe for updating. There are four good bedrooms, and the bathroom is fresh and neat with a separate shower. A heat pump and log burner will keep family or tenants cosy. Outside, the section is fully fenced with a single garage and established gardens.

Breathing new life into the home would be an enticing project, but others will be drawn to the possibilities presented by renting out the property while developing plans for a new build on the site. There is possibly even the potential to subdivide. Whichever way you look at it, the value is underpinned by a top location, in zone for Fendalton School, Boys High and Girls High.

Youve got to be in to win, so contact us today to find out more!

Open homes dates: Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17, 2pm to 2.30pm and Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24, 2pm to 2.30pm.
