· This building is not equipped with a fire sprinkler system
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH THE OWNER, ARCHITECT/ENGINEER, AND OTHER TRADES/CONTRACTORS THROUGHOUT
THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE W/ OWNER FOR ALL OWNER RELATED SCHEDULES, PROCEDURES, CLEARANCES & REQUIREMENTS TO
ACCESS THE OWNER'S FACILITIES. SUCH PROCEDURES ARE INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT AND SHALL NOT RESULT IN EXTRA COSTS TO THE
OWNER.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE NOTE OF ALL EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED, TO MOVE OR DISPOSE OF OBJECTS OR
MATERIALS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE PROJECT. SUCH WORK SHALL NOT BE CAUSE FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR A CHANGE IN THE
SCOPE.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS AND MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS AS NECESSARY. NOTIFY
THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER OF ANY DISCREPANCIES WHICH MAY AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THE WORK.
5. DIMENSIONS NOTED ON DRAWINGS ARE FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID PROPOSAL, THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL THOROUGHLY SURVEY THE EXISTING SITE TO VERIFY EXISTING DIMENSIONS, CONDITIONS, AND DETERMINE ALL MATERIALS, LABOR,
AND INCIDENTALS NEEDED FOR COMPLETION OF THE INTENDED CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING DIMENSIONS
AND FIELD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO FABRICATION OR CONSTRUCTION; MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS; AND NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER OF
ANY CONDITIONS THAT MAY AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THE WORK.
6. AFTER ALL WORK IS COMPLETED, CONTRACTOR SHALL CLEAN WORK AREAS SO THAT THEY ARE FREE OF ANY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS,
TOOLS, DIRT AND DEBRIS. FINE GRADE, FERTILIZE, SEED AND STRAW ALL DISTURBED LAWN AREAS.
7. EXISTING SITE IMPROVEMENTS DISTURBED OUTSIDE THE DESIGNATED CONSTRUCTION AREAS ARE TO BE REPLACED WITH EQUAL OR BETTER
CONSTRUCTION AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR. EVERY EFFORT SHALL BE MADE TO MINIMIZE SUCH DISTURBANCES. CONTRACTOR
SHALL MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION OF REQUIRED WORK AT NO EXTRA COST TO THE OWNER.
8. EXISTING SITE VEGETATION AND CONSTRUCTION, SUCH AS SIDEWALKS, STOOPS, ETC., THAT ARE DISTURBED AND/OR DAMAGED DURING
CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPLACED WITH EQUAL OR BETTER CONSTRUCTION AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR. EVERY EFFORT
SHALL BE MADE TO MINIMIZE SUCH DISTURBANCES AND DAMAGES.
9. ALL ITEMS NOTED TO REMAIN SHALL NOT BE DISTURBED AND SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO
MINIMIZE ANY DISTURBANCES. IN THE EVENT EXISTING ITEMS ARE DISTURBED, CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR/REPLACE WITH EQUAL OR
BETTER CONSTRUCTION AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
10. PRIME CONTRACTOR FOR EACH BID SHALL COORDINATE REMOVAL, HAULING, AND LEGAL DISPOSAL OF ALL MATERIALS WITH
SUBCONTRACTORS.
11. PROTECT EXISTING UTILITIES DURING CONSTRUCTION.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL BUILDING/WORK PERMITS AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. SUBMIT COPIES OF ALL
PERMITS/CERTIFICATIONS TO A/E AND OWNER.
13. SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL NOT BE REVIEWED FOR APPROVAL UNLESS CHECKED BY THE FABRICATOR AND APPROVED BY THE CONTRACTOR. SUBMIT
ONE ELECTRONIC COPY FOR EACH REVIEW.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE 10 WORKING DAYS IN HIS SCHEDULE FOR REVIEW OF EACH SUBMITTAL.
15. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CERTIFY THAT HE HAS NOT MADE A CHANGE TO SPECIFIED MATERIALS ON SUBMITTALS.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AND BEAR THE EXPENSE OF VERIFYING ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS, HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL DIMENSIONS AND
COORDINATION OF ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS. IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.
17. STATE PERMITS, LOCAL PERMITS, FEES AND LICENSES NECESSARY FOR THE PROCESSION OF WORK SHALL BE SECURED AND PAID FOR BY THE
CONTRACTOR.
18. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM COMPACTION AND TESTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS.
19. ALL SAW CUTTING OF EXISTING PAVEMENT SHALL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT. THE MINIMUM SAW CUT DEPTH IN THE
PAVEMENT SHALL BE 4” UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN THE PLANS.
20. THE ENGINEER SHALL BE THE SOLE JUDGE CONCERNING CURING TIME FOR THE VARIOUS HOT-MIX ASPHALT LIFTS.
21. HOT-MIX ASPHALT MATERIALS SHALL NOT BE PLACED ON EXISTING BITUMINOUS, CONCRETE OR AGGREGATE SURFACES WITHOUT THE
APPLICATION OF BITUMINOUS MATERIALS.
22. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL USE CARE IN APPLYING BITUMINOUS MATERIALS IN THE VICINITY OF EXISTING STRUCTURES, SIDEWALKS, OR OTHER
SURFACES TO REMAIN. ANY MATERIALS PLACED ON THESE SURFACES SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS EXPENSE.

· INSTALLATION OF APPROXIMATELY 13,200 SQ. FT OF NEW VINYL SPORTS FLOORING

1. PROTECT EXISTING FABRIC ROOFING, METAL BUILDINGSTRUCTURE, DOORS, ELECTRICAL CONDUIT ANDOTHER EXISTING ELEMENTS SO NO DAMAGE ISCAUSED WHEN WORK IS DONE ON ANY SCOPE OF THISPROJECT.
2. REMOVE AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OF THE EXISTINGWOOD BASKETBALL COURT AND ALL LAYERS OFWOOD BELOW. THIS INCLUDES A LAYER OFSHEATHING, AN ADDITIONAL WOOD COURT FLOORAND WOOD FRAMING. DO NOT DAMAGE THEEXISTING SURROUNDING ASPHALT WHEN REMOVINGTHE WOOD MEMBERS.
3. REMOVE AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OF THE DRINKINGFOUNTAIN. TURN OFF WATER TO THIS LOCATION ANDTEMPORARILY CAP PIPE(S) UNTIL THE NEW WATERFOUNTAIN IS INSTALLED. PROTECT THE PIPE(S) ANDASSOCIATED ELEMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION ANDUNTIL THE NEW WATER FOUNTAIN IS INSTALLED.
4. REMOVE TENNIS COURT NET AND ALL ASSOCIATEDPOSTS AND HARDWARE. FILL ANY HOLES OR DAMAGETO THE FLOOR CREATED IN THE PROCESS WITHASPHALT. ALL NEW ASPHALT IS TO BE FLUSH WITHTHE SURROUNDING ASPHALT.
5. REMOVE AND STORE ALL NETS AND ALL ASSOCIATED
POSTS AND HARDWARE TO BE REUSED. IF POSTSCANNOT BE REMOVED, PROTECT THEM WHILE WORKIS BEING DONE AROUND THEM. IF THIS WAS DONE BYTHE CONTRACTOR OF THE "FABRIC ROOF PROJECT"VERIFY STORAGE LOCATION SO ITEMS CAN BEREINSTALLED AFTER COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT.
6. NOT USED.7. PREPARE TENNIS COURTS TO BE RESURFACED. NO
PRESSURE WASHING IS PERMITTED. FILL ALL CRACKS,HOLES AND LOW SPOTS TO ACHIEVE AN EVENPLAYING SURFACE.
8. PREPARE EXISTING ASPHALT TO RECEIVE NEW SPORTS
FLOORING. NOTE ALL EXISTING CONDITIONSINCLUDING WERE ASPHALT HAS BEEN BUILT UP ATTHE WEST SIDE OF THE WOOD BASKETBALL COURT.FILL ALL CRACKS, HOLES OR DAMAGE IN THE EXISTINGASPHALT. REMOVE ANY TEXTURE AND RAISED LINESTHAT WOULD SHOW THROUGH NEW FLOORING.
9. VERIFY ALL ASPHALT TO RECEIVE THE NEW SPORTSFLOORING IS FLAT WITH NO MORE THAN 1/8”DEVIATION WITHIN A 10'-0” RADIUS. IF THERE IS ANYDEVIATION, IT WILL NEED TO BE CORRECTED BEFORENEW FLOORING CAN BE INSTALLED.
