4. The position of the radiatorscan affect how well they work.Radiators are traditionally
placed under windows, but becareful not to block the heat withcurtains. To bounce heat backinto the room, fit radiator foilbehind your radiators, althoughthis doesnt work with columnradiators because you can seethrough them.
5. Old heating systems oftenlack adequate controls, suchas adjustable radiator valves,so you cant turn the radiatorsup or down theyre eitheron or off. You also need theright controls for the boiler, toimprove its performance andefficiency. Up-to-date controlsenable the boiler and radiators tocommunicate, giving you a muchbetter central heating system.
