    1.0 Introduction

  • 1.1 Purpose

    To ensure that suppliers are in possession in advance of any delivery of all necessary information enabling them to meet Penguin Books’ delivery requirements.

    To maintain the integrity and security of the site for the protection of our Employees and our business.

    To enable the receiving of goods to be controlled in an effective and efficient way for the benefit of both Penguin Books Ltd and the Carrier/supplier.

    To ensure that at the point of delivery the product supplied, is undamaged, safe to handle, minimizes manual handling and can be unloaded swiftly.

    To ensure the product supplied, is on pallets that meet the needs of our Distribution Center and equipment used.

    To enable Goods Inbound to understand the volumes/type of incoming work and make preparations for its arrival, ensuring the products swift transit into the Distribution Center systems.

    1.2 Failure to comply Failure to comply with any aspect of this specification will result in charges being

    levied to cover unplanned additional handling, disposal costs and Health & Safety issues.

    Failure to meet any part of the delivery Specification may result in the delivery being refused.

    Loads considered unsafe as delivered and /or presented may result in the delivery being refused.

    Penguin employees are not insured to handle/move non-Penguin goods whilst accessing carriers or supplier’s vehicles and / or trailers for any purpose.

    The load maybe refused where access to vehicle is restricted.

  • 2.0 Health & Safety and Environmental Statement

    Health & Safety Penguin has the maintenance of health and safety at work as one of its declared objectives. The Company is resolved to take all necessary measures throughout the organization to promote this objective for the good of its employees and the continued efficiency of all its business operations. With this borne in mind Penguin expects all carriers, suppliers and contractors to the Distribution Centre site to conform to safe working practices. Penguin would therefore expect all vehicles to the site to be in a safe and roadworthy condition, with the relevant documentation and for all drivers of these vehicles to comply with all the safety rules and procedures whilst on site. Penguin expects all goods and products that enter the site to be in a safe and stable condition. It is Penguin Books Ltd’s policy to promote a safe and healthy working environment. Environmental

    [Supplier] represents and warrants to Penguin Books Ltd that:

    a) it has complied with and will continue to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice and other similar controls, and advice issued by any governmental or regulatory body relating to the protection of the environment including without limitation the prevention or reduction of pollution of any land, water or air (together the "applicable laws")

    b) all necessary permits, licenses and certificates, approvals and other

    authorizations required by the applicable laws have been obtained and will be maintained;

    c) no hazardous or toxic materials, substances, pollutants, contaminants or wastes

    have been or will be released into the environment or deposited, discharged, displaced or disposed of by the Purchaser, unless in accordance with all Applicable Laws

  • 3. 0 Procedures for Drivers when on site

    NO SMOKING within the site perimeter including the yard area.

    High visibility jacket / coat to be worn at ALL times.

    ALL drivers must report to the gatehouse on arrival. If security personnel are not present, an intercom system is situated next to the barrier.

    Security will allocated an unloading / loading bay to the driver

    The Driver MUST check that the bay light is GREEN prior to commencing reversing vehicle onto the bay

    Once vehicle is positioned on the bay, the driver (and any passengers) MUST go to the Receiving Office window situated on the lower floor of the Transport office Block adjacent to Bay 13, where all relevant paperwork and ALL Vehicle KEYS MUST be deposited until the unloading / loading operation has been completed.

    Drivers (and any passengers) must wait in the driver lounge adjacent to the Receiving Office. Vending facilities are available in this room.

    No Entry to the main facility

    Once the unloading / loading operation is completed the driver will be advised, the vehicle keys and completed paperwork will be available for collection from, Receiving Office window.

    The driver MUST ensure that the bay light is showing GREEN before starting the vehicle and removing it from the bay.

    Under NO circumstances must a vehicle / trailer be moved when the bay lights are showing RED.

    There shall be NO EXTENDED PARKING of vehicles, trailers and or containers on the Rugby site. In this context extended parking is greater than 2 HOURS from arrival of vehicle, trailer or container on the Rugby site.

    There shall be NO OVERNIGHT PARKING of vehicles, trailers or containers on the Rugby site at any time.

    Penguin Books Ltd reserve the right to stop and search Personnel and vehicles.

    In the event of the Fire alarm sounding, ALL trailer / vehicle movements MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY and vehicle engines switched off. ALL drivers (and passengers) MUST REPORT to the Fire Assembly Point situated in the main site car park MUSTER POINT 3.

    All Drivers will be given a copy of the Rugby site procedures on arrival at the main site gatehouse or transport office – This is available in multi language format, see Appendices 12 to 24.

    Drivers and all visitors must in addition also comply with the Penguin Books Ltd Rugby site regulations see Appendix 11.

  • 4.0 Advance notice of deliveries. (Applicable to UK and European Suppliers for deliveries by road)

    1. Advanced notice of delivery MUST be supplied for all consignments prior to booking in.

    2. The following information must be provided (See Section 5.0)

  • 4.2 Advance Notice of deliveries for Air & Sea freight shipments

    Airfreight:

    A pre-advice Email is required from the originating business providing the following information: Date Number of pallets Upon receipt Goods Inbound shall arrange a priority booking with the specific carrier covering section 5 item 4 below.

    Sea freight:

    A pre-advice email is required from the originating business providing the following information: ISBN Quantity Number of pallets Expected arrival date Section 5.0 then applies

  • 5.0 Booking In

    1. All deliveries to Pearson MUST be booked in a minimum of 48 hrs in advance by the supplier or carrier (where an available delivery slot exists).

    2. Having supplied the Advanced Notice of Delivery (excluding Air & Sea) please call Penguin Books on + 44 (0) 1788 514 391 to obtain an access reference.

    3. The information below will be required before an access reference can be issued:

    * Please note- whilst every effort is made to meet supplier’s requests this cannot be guaranteed. Goods Inbound as a concession MAY agree other times 4. A time slot and a unique four-digit access reference code relevant to this slot will

    be issued. The vehicle driver MUST have this information at the time of arrival in order to pass through the security barrier. Vehicle arriving without the Unique reference code may be refused.

    5. The allocated booked delivery slot has a time tolerance of 15 minute either side of the booked time. In the event of unplanned delays that may impact on this booked time it is the suppliers responsibility to ensure that Pearson Distribution are informed / advised as soon as possible on + 44 (0) 1788 514 391. Failure to provide notification will lead to delays and may involve refusal of delivery.

    NOTE: Subject to seasonal requirements, opening times may temporarily change. Any

    temporary changes will be communicated to the head of Production or other appropriate person within each Operating Company / Division, for them to notify suppliers / agents.

    Late deliveries may be made by prior agreement. Please contact Goods Inwards before the pre-booked delivery slot on + 44 (0) 1788 514 391.

    Urgent deliveries may be made via agreement at the request of the Production Team or other appropriate person and agreement of Goods Inbound on + 44 (0) 1788 514 391.

  • 5.1 Delivery Vehicles. ALL vehicles delivering to the Penguin Rugby site MUST be capable of having

    the product delivered or removed from the vehicle from the rear.

    NOTE. Penguin employees are not insured to handle/move non-Penguin goods whilst accessing carriers or supplier’s vehicles and / or trailers for any purpose.

    Vehicles will be unloaded by means of dock levelers and powered mechanical handling equipment.

    Vehicles restricted to side unloading MAY be accepted on concession, which will be granted at time of Booking In Delivery (section 5.0).

    Vehicle / trailer floors MUST be in sound condition and capable of bearing the unladen weight of any of the following mechanical handling equipment used in the inwards receiving process plus the product / pallet

    In the case of Maritime containers or swap body containers the deck height is to be that of the floor of the container

    Rigid or articulated vehicles are preferred, other types such as:

    Rigid + Drawbar trailer

    Double bottom trailers

    Double deck trailers

    Refrigerated or Chilled trailers / vehicles

    Step frame trailers

    MAY be accepted on concession but will incur delays, if deliveries are to be made on such vehicles this MUST be advised at time of booking in, see section 5.0

  • 6.0 Packaging Specification

    All products are to be delivered in cartons that meet the carton specification. (See Appendix 2). Other methods of packaging MAY be accepted with PRIOR APPROVAL from Pearson Distribution. However, the general dimensional, labeling and weight requirements in section 6.1 still apply.

    6.1 Cartons 1. A maximum of ONE ISBN and a single supply edition per carton. 2. Maximum carton weight MUST NOT exceed 18 kg. 3. Supplier Cartons MUST NOT exceed the following external dimensions

    Width 380 mm

    Length 580 mm Height 350 mm

    The carton base (width & length) dimensions MUST NOT be equal (e.g.: not a square) – this ensures the cartons will interlock when stacked on pallets. Any cartons with a void in MUST be infilled with a filler to make the cartons safe, this will help cartons from being damaged whilst in transit.

    Labeling should be clearly visible on the carton (not on top or bottom). The labels MUST be white background (except those covered in Section 6.3) with black print and contain the following information in English: Supplier Address Product Title Price (applicable to Dorling Kindersley & Penguin products only) Pack quantity or actual quantity Pack weight ISBN 13 Supply edition/Impression/Publication number (if available) Supplier name Penguin/Pearson Purchase Order number Supplier reference (optional at suppliers discretion) EAN 128 Barcode Alphanumeric version of barcode. Label layout and dimensions (see Appendix 3). EAN128 Bar Code format and identifiers (see Appendix 5).

  • 6. 2 Palletised Goods All deliveries to Penguin Books Ltd MUST be on pallets as specified in ‘Appendix 1’. Maximum Gross weight 975kg. 1. Pallet to be labeled as per ‘Appendix 4’. 2. Maximum stock height not including pallet pallet 1,080.00 mm. 3. All loads should be consolidated to use the minimum number of pallets, whilst

    utilising the maximum height of 1,080.00 mm. 4. Pallets MUST NOT have Metal Banding (they will be refused) 5. Cartons MUST NOT overhang pallet perimeter. 6. Cartons MUST be stacked, interlocked and bound sufficiently to prevent movement

    in transit. 7. Slip sheets MUST NOT be used on pallets. (they will be refused) 8. Pallet tops MUST be utilised for all double-stacked pallets and safely secured.

    Pearson preferred specification see Appendix 10. 9. Mixed title pallets MUST be accompanied by a pallet manifest, individual titles

    MUST be stacked together. 10. Pallet loads MUST be evenly distributed. 11. Pallet tops where used are non-returnable, unless agreed otherwise with Penguin

    Books Ltd in advance of delivery.

  • 6.2.1 Palletised Point of Sale Goods (POS)

    For information POS are all items used to support the sale of a book – typically these are posters, dump bins, counter display packs, show cards stickers, labels, leaflets.

    1. MUST fit within dimensions of pallet.

    2. All deliveries to Penguin Books Ltd MUST be on pallets specified in

    ‘Appendix 1’. Maximum Gross weight 1,000 kg.

    3. MUST be contained within the pallet cubes (overall heights 750mm, 1250mm, 2000mm including pallet) (see Appendix 1).

    4. Cartons and Pallets MUST BE clearly labeled as per Section 6.1 and 6.2.

    5. Maximum weight of 16 kg per item or part pack.

    6. Where appropriate design must incorporate sufficient handholds to enable safe

    manual handling.

    6.3 Un-Palletized Deliveries (previously known as small deliveries)

    1. The identification labels MUST be YELLOW background. Should a white label be used a plain YELLOW Label either rectangular (100 x 100 mm) or circular (100 mm diameter) MUST be positioned along side the white label.

    All other requirements in section 6.1 remain the same.

    6.4 Pallets Availability & Supply

    For all UK and European suppliers or agents Penguin Specification pallets are available for collection on a strict booking in/out system – failure to return pallets administered under this system will result in a pallet charge being made.

    Suppliers or agents not utilizing the above system must provide pallets in full compliance with the pallet specification in Appendix 1.

    6.4.1 Pallet Administration System

    Details of this system are contained in Appendix 9.

  • Appendix 1 Pallet Specification. 1. All deliveries to Penguin Books MUST be on pallets at least equal to the

    following specification (with the exception of small un-palletised deliveries see section 6.3).

    Maximum deflection limitation is 10 mm.

    Minimum clearance: Ground to underside of Stringer 113mm.

    Maximum weight of pallet not to exceed 25.0 kgs.

    Baseboards Stop Chamfered

    Blocks 150/145 x 90 x 90 mm, the 150/145mm length to be incorporated in the 1000 mm pallet face.

    Pallets upon arrival at Penguin Books must have moisture content below 18%.

    3 nails per joint for assembling top deck unit to blocks.

    All timber must be certified as being obtained from recycled or renewable sources.

    Bill of Materials

    8 x Top Deck Boards: Finished Thickness: 15 mm + 1mm Finished Width: 95 mm + 1mm

    Finished Length: 1000 mm + 1mm The above are to be evenly spread with approximately 63mm gaps. Top face and both edges are to be fine sawn.

    3 x Stringers Thickness: 25 mm + 1mm Width: 150 mm + 1mm Length: 1200 mm + 1mm

    7 x Blocks 150 x 90 x 90 mm Length & Width + 1mm Height + 1mm

    2 x Blocks 145 x 90 x 90 mm Length & Width + 1mm Height + 1mm

    These blocks are located diagonally opposite one another on the 1200mm face on left-hand side of pallet and recessed 5mm from outer edge of pallet.

    3 x Base Boards Thickness: 25 mm + 1mm Width: 90 mm + 1mm Length: 1000 mm + 1mm

    3. An audit sheet will be issued on a monthly basis to any suppliers using

    Penguin pallets. The audit sheet must be completed and returned within 7 working days of issue in order for Penguin Books to maintain an accurate record. The audit should include the number of pallets in transit at the time of the count.

    4. A summary of pallet movements for the month will be issued to the supplier

    with the audit sheet.

    Rugby Distribution Site Visitor Policy

    Security

    All visitors are required to sign in and register themselves at reception

    All visitors will be issued with an identification badge, which must be visibly worn at all times.

    Visitors will not be allowed into the main Distribution Center building unless accompanied by a member of Penguin staff.

    Visitors are requested not to leave bags, case etc. unattended at any time.

    Penguin Books reserve the right to stop and search.

    Penguin Books operate a No Smoking policy throughout the building. Smoking is allowed only in the designated areas.

    Visitors are requested to observe the safe walkway and the crossing points in the building.

    Access to crane aisles and the bulk store is strictly forbidden, unless accompanied by a trained and qualified member of staff.

    There are some areas in the Distribution Center where High Visibility clothing is required. You will be advised of these areas and supplied with the required clothing.

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedure

    Should the evacuation procedure be necessary, visitors are required to leave the building quickly and quietly, by the nearest exit, and to assemble at MUSTER POINT 3.

    Do not attempt to leave site. This could result in unnecessary delays in the evacuation procedure.

    Appendix 12 Drivers on Site Procedures - English Penguin Books Ltd

    Rugby Procedures for Drivers Penguin Books expects all goods and products that enter the site to be in a safe and stable condition. It is Penguins policy to promote a safe and healthy working environment.

    NO SMOKING with in the site perimeter including the yard area.

    High visibility jacket / coat to be worn at ALL times.

    ALL drivers must report to the gatehouse on arrival. If security personnel are not present, an intercom system is situated next to the barrier.

    Security will allocated an unloading / loading bay to the driver

    The Driver MUST check that the bay light is GREEN prior to commencing reversing vehicle onto the bay

    Once vehicle is positioned on the bay, the driver (and any passengers) MUST go to the Receiving Office window situated on the lower floor of the Transport office Block adjacent to Bay 13, where all relevant paperwork and ALL Vehicle KEYS MUST be deposited until the unloading / loading operation has been completed.

    Drivers (and any passengers) must wait in the driver lounge adjacent to the Receiving Office. Vending facilities are available in this room.

    No Entry to the main facility

    Once the unloading / loading operation is completed the driver will be advised, the vehicle keys and completed paperwork will be available for collection from, Receiving Office window.

    The driver MUST ensure that the bay light is showing GREEN before starting the vehicle and removing it from the bay.

    Under NO circumstances must a vehicle / trailer be moved when the bay lights are showing RED.

    There shall be NO EXTENDED PARKING of vehicles, trailers and or containers on the Rugby site. In this context extended parking is greater than 2 HOURS from arrival of vehicle, trailer or container on the Rugby site.

    There shall be NO OVERNIGHT PARKING of vehicles, trailers or containers on the Rugby site at any time.

    Penguin Books reserve the right to stop and search Personnel and vehicles.

    Penguin gaat ervan uit dat alle goederen en produkten die op het terrein arriveren in een veilige en goede staat zijn. Het beleid van Penguin is om een veilige en gezonde werkomgeving te bewerkstelligen.

    VERBODEN TE ROKEN,dit verbod is van toepassing voor het gehele complex.

    Een fluoriserend vest/jas moet ten ALLE tijden worden gedragen.

    ALLE chauffeurs moeten zich bij aankomst melden bij de portier. Al er geen beveiligings personeel aanwezig is, dient u gebruik te maken van het intercom systeem naast de slagboom.

    GEEN TOEGANG tot het hoofdgebouw.

    ALLE chauffeurs (en passagiers) MOETEN zich melden bij het loket van het kantoor voor inkomende goederen dit kantoor bevind zich op de begane grond van het Transport kantoor naast parkeerhaven 13.

    Chauffeurs krijgen een parkeerhaven toegewezen alwaar zij hun lading kunnen afgeven/ophalen.

    De chauffeur MOET voordat hij achteruit de haven in rijdt controleren of het parkeerhaven licht op GROEN staat.

    Zodra het voertuig in de parkeerhaven positie staat MOET de chauffeur met alle documenten en ALLE vrachtwagen SLEUTELS zich melden bij het kantoor voor inkomende goederen waar de documenten en alle sleutels dienen te worden afgegeven totdat het laden/ontladen is beëindigd.

    Een chauffeurskantine bevindt zich naast het kantoor voor inkomende goederen deze is voor ALLE chauffeurs(en passagiers), hier bevinden zich de snack-/drink automaten.

    De chauffeur wordt op de hoogte gebracht zodra het laden/ontladen is voltooid, de vrachtwagensleutels en de documentatie kunnen dan worden afgehaald bij het loket van het Ontvangst kantoor.

  • De chauffeur MOET voordat hij zijn voertuig start en vertrekt controleren of het parkeerhaven licht op GROEN staat.

    Zolang het havenlicht op ROOD staat mag er onder geen beding een voertuig /aanhanger worden verplaatst.

    Op het Rugby terrein MAG NIET LANGER DAN 2 UUR na aankomst worden geparkeerd dit geldt voor vrachtwagens, aanhangers en containers.

    Het is NIET TOEGSTAAN om vrachtwagens, aanhangers en containers ‘s nachts op het Rugby terrein te parkeren.

    Penguin heeft het recht om alle voertuigen en personen aan te houden, te stoppen en te doorzoeken/foullieren.     Conducteurs seront alloués un aboie de déchargement/ chargement.

    Le Conducteur doit vérifier que la lumière de la baie est VERT avant de commencer le renversement de la véhicule dans la baie.

    Sobald das Fahrzeug an der Rampe steht, MUSS der Fahrer nochmals zum Schalter zurückgehen. Dort werden alle Lade- / Transportpapiere komplettiert und es müssen ALLE FAHRZEUGSCHLÜSSEL hinterlegt werden, bis der Be- / Entladevorgang fertig ist.

    Neben dem Empfangsbüro ist ein Raum für ALLE Fahrer (und deren Passagiere), dort werden auch Erfrischungen zum Verkauf angeboten.

    Sobald der Be- / Entladevorgang abgeschlossen ist, wird der Fahrer verständigt. Die Fahrzeugschlüssel und Frachtpapiere liegen dann am Schalter abholbereit.

    TUTTI gli autisti ed eventuali passeggeri DEVONO presentarsi allo sportello dell’ufficio di accoglienza, situato al piano terra dell’edificio dove si trova l'ufficio dei trasporti, adiacente alla baia 13.

    Ad ogni autista viene assegnata una baia per lo scarico/ carico della merce.

    L’autista DEVE assicurarsi che la luce della baia appaia VERDE prima di iniziare la manovra di retromarcia verso la baia.

    Una volta sistemato il veicolo nella baia, l’autista DEVE tornare allo sportello dell’ufficio di accoglienza, dove DEVE consegnare la relativa documentazione e depositare TUTTE le CHIAVI del veicolo, fino al termine delle operazioni di scarico/ carico.

    TUTTI gli autisti ed eventuali passeggeri possono fare uso di una sala adiacente all’ufficio di accoglienza dotata di distributori automatici di bevande e cibo.

    All’autista viene comunicato il completamento delle operazioni di scarico/ carico, dopodiché egli può ritirare le chiavi e la documentazione completata dall’ufficio di accoglienza.

    L’autista DEVE assicurarsi che la luce della baia appaia VERDE prima di avviare il veicolo ed allontanarsi dalla baia.

    È assolutamente VIETATO spostare un veicolo/ rimorchio quando le luci della baia appaiono ROSSE.

    Presso il deposito di Rugby non è disponibile il PARCHEGGIO PROLUNGATO dei veicoli, rimorchi o container, dove per prolungato si intende maggiore di 2 ORE dall’arrivo al sito.

    Presso il deposito di Rugby non è disponibile il PARCHEGGIO NOTTURNO dei veicoli, rimorchi o container in alcuna circostanza.

    Penguin si riserva il diritto di fermare e perquisire il personale ed i veicoli. In caso di avvio dell’allarme antincendio, INTERROMPERE IMMEDIATAMENTE TUTTE le manovre dei rimorchi/ veicoli e spegnere i motori degli automezzi.     TODOS os condutores (e quaisquer passageiros) TÊM de se apresentar ao balcão do Gabinete de Admissão (Receiving Office) situado no andar de baixo do Bloco do gabinete de Transporte, adjacente ao lugar 13.

    Será conferido um lugar de descarga / carga a cada Condutor.

    O Condutor TEM de verificar que a luz do lugar está VERDE antes de pôr o veículo a fazer marcha atrás para o lugar.

    Quando o veículo estiver posicionado no lugar, o condutor TEM de voltar ao balcão do Gabinete de Admissão onde deve depositar todos os documentos necessários e TODAS as CHAVES do Veículo até a operação de descarga / carga estar terminada.

    TODOS os Condutores (e quaisquer passageiros) devem utilizar uma sala de condutores adjacente ao Gabinete de Admissão. Estão disponíveis na sala máquinas de venda.

    Quando a operação de descarga / carga estiver terminada, o condutor será avisado e poderá ir buscar as chaves do veículo e os documentos preenchidos ao Balcão do Gabinete de Admissão.

    O condutor TEM de assegurar que a luz do lugar está VERDE antes de pôr o veículo a trabalhar e antes de o retirar do lugar.

    Um veículo ou reboque não deve, em circunstância NENHUMA, mover-se enquanto a luz do lugar estiver VERMELHA.

    NÂO poderá haver ESTACIONAMENTE PROLONGADO de veículos, reboques ou contentores nas instalações de Rugby. Neste contexto, estacionamento prolongado significa mais do que 2 HORAS a partir da chegada do veículo, reboque ou contentor às instalações de Rugby.

    Перед выводом машины от места паркования водитель ДОЛЖЕН проверять, что свет показывает ЗЕЛЕНЫЙ.

    НЕ В КОЕМ случае не выдвинуть машину\прицеп, когда свет показывает КРАСНЫЙ.

    НЕ ПРЕВЫСШATЬ установленное время для паркования машин, прицепов и контейнеров на Регби территории. В этом контексте паркование машин на территории дольше чем 2- х часов считается превысшением.

    НЕ ПАРКОВАТЬ машины, прицепы и контейнеры на Регби территории В НОЧНОЕ ВРЕМЯ.

    Vodič MUSÍ skontrolovať, či na boxe svieti ZELENÁ predtým, než začne cúvať k boxu.

    V NOCI platí ZÁKAZ PARKOVANIA vozidiel, prívesov a kontajnerov v závode Rugby.

    Se requiere el uso en todo momento de chaketas/cubridores de alta visibilidad

    TODOS los conductores deben de notificar su llegada en la casilla de entrada. Si ninguna persona de Penguin esta presente, hay un sistema de intercom/telefonillo situado junto a la barrera de entrada.

    NO esta permitida la entrada en el edificio principal.

    TODOS los conductores y sus pasajeros DEBEN presentarse a la ventanilla de la Oficina de Recibo situada en la planta baja de la oficina de Transporte en el Bloque adjacente al patio de carga numero 13.

    A los conductores se les designara una nave para la descarga.

    El conductor DEBE comprovar que la luz de la nave designada este en VERDE antes de poner el vehiculo en marcha atras hacia la nave.

    Una vez el vehiculo esta situado en la nave, el conductor DEBE volver a la ventanilla de la Officina de Recibo donde todos los papeles/documentos y TODAS las LLAVES del vehiculo DEBEN ser depositadas hasta que la operacion de cargar/descargar esta completada.

    Hay una sala de espera para los conductores junto a la Officina de Recibo dode TODOS los conductors (y pasajeros) deben esperar, en esta sala se puede encontrar maquina dispensadora de bebidas etc.

    Una vez el vehiculo se ha cargado/descargado el conductor sera notificado y las llaves del vehiculo asi como los papeles/documentos completados estaran a la disposicion del conductor en la ventanilla de la Oficina de Recibo.

    El conductor DEBE asegurarse de que la luz de la nave esta en VERDE antes de arraancar el vehiculo y moverlo de la nave.

    Bajo NINGUNA circunstancia debe el vehiculo/remolque moverse cuando la luz de la nave esta en ROJO.

    No hay lugar para APARCAMIENTO de vehiculos, remolques o contenedores en el entorno de Rugby. Por esta razon solo es possible el aparacmiento por un maximo de 2 HORAS, desde la llegada del vehiculo, remolque, contenedor a Pearson en Rugby.

    No hay servicio de APARCAMIENTO POR LA NOCHE para vehiculos, remolques or contenedores en Rugby.

    Penguin se reserva el derecho de parar y registrar a personas y vehiculos. En caso de que la alarma de incendio sea activada, TODO los movimientos de vehiculos/remolques DEBEN PARA IMEDIATAMENTE y los motores de los vehiculos deben igualmente ser parados. TODOS los conductors DEBEN presentarse en el Punto de Reunion en caso de Incendio situado en el parking del edificio principal, PUNTO DE REUNION 3.

  • Appendix 24 Drivers On Site Procedures – Turkish Penguin Dağıtımı – Rugby

    Araç sürücüleri tarafından uyulması gereken koşullar Penguin, kendi arazisine giren bütün malların ve ürünlerin emniyetli ve sağlam şartlar altında bulunmasını amaçlamaktadır. Güvenli ve sağlıklı bir çalışma ortamı yaratmak Penguin’un politikasıdır.

    Avlu bölgesi dahil, arazinin sınırları içinde SİGARA İÇİLEMEZ.

    HER ZAMAN görüş kolaylığı sağlayan ceket / palto giyilmelidir.

    BÜTÜN sürücüler arazi giriş kapısındaki nöbetçi istasyonuna geldiklerini haber vermelidir. Eğer emniyet yetkilileri istasyonda değilse, bariyer yanında bulunan telefon bu iş için kullanılmalıdır.

    Ana binaya GİRİLEMEZ.

    BÜTÜN sürücüler (ve onların yolcuları) Transport ofis binasının (Transport office Block) giriş katında ve 13 numaralı bölme yanında bulunan Kabul Ofisi (Receiving Office) penceresine uğrayarak geldiklerini bildirmelidir.

    Sürücülere yükünü boşaltma/doldurma işlemi için bir bölme tahsis edilecektir.

    Sürücü bölmeye geri vites ile girmeye başlamadan önce, bölme ışığının YEŞİL yandığından MUTLAKA emin olmalıdır.

    Vasıta bölmeye park edildikten sonra sürücü MUTLAKA Kabul Ofisi penceresine geri gelerek bütün gerekli belgelerini ve BÜTÜN araç ANAHTARLARINI, yükleme / boşaltma işlemi tamamlanıncaya kadar MUTLAKA buraya bırakmalıdır.

    Kabul Ofisinin yanındaki sürücü odası BÜTÜN sürücülere (ve onların yolcularına) açıktır; bu odada para ile çalışan satış otomatikleri mevcuttur.

    Yükleme / boşaltma işlemi tamamlanınca bu durum sürücüye bildirilir ve kendisi Kabul Ofisinin penceresinden araç anahtarlarını ve tamamlanmış belgeleri alabilir.

    Sürücü, aracını çalıştırmadan ve bölümden çıkarmadan önce, bölüm ışıklarının YEŞİL yandığına MUTLAKA dikkat etmelidir.

    Bölüm ışıkları KIRMIZI yanarken bir araç / romork KESİNLİKLE hareket ettirilmemelidir.

    Rugby arazisinde araçlar, romorklar ve/ya vagonlar (container) için UZATILMIŞ PARK ETME SÜRESİ YOKTUR. Bu kapsamda, ‘uzatılmış park etme süresi’, aracın, romorkun veya vagonun Rugby arazisine varışını izleyen İKİ SAAT’ten fazlasını ifade eder.

    Araç, romork ya da vagon Rugby arazisinde hiçbir zaman GECELEMEK ÜZERE PARK EDEMEZ

    Araçları ve elemanları durdurarak arama yapma hakkı Penguinn’a mahfuzdur.

    Yangın alarmının çalması durumunda, BÜTÜN romork / araçlar MUTLAKA DERHAL DURMALI, ve motor kontağı kapanmalıdır. BÜTÜN sürücüler MUTLAKA ana taşıt parkında yer alan 3 NO.LU TOPLANMA BÖLGESİ’ndeki Yangın Toplanma Noktasına geldiklerini haber vermelidir.

    Bu basit kurallara uyulması, hem sürücülerin hem de burada çalışanların güvenliğini

    sağlayacak, ve malların sevkiyatını aksamadan yapabilmemiz için bize yardımcı

    olacaktır.
