Non-surgical penile girth enhancement (also known as non-surgical phalloplasty) is an outpatient medical procedure designed to increase the volume of the penile shaft.

Our physicians Dr. Palmira Morales and Dr. Luis Casavantes pictured above, are amongst the pioneers of the procedure. They started working on non-surgical phalloplasty back in 2007, and at the moment, they’ve worked on thousands of patients using both permanent and temporary soft tissue fillers.

Ellansé-L® (Microspheres of PCL)

• Permanent soft tissue filler. • Comprised of microspheres of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) suspended in

carboxymethylcellulose, a water-based absorbable gel. • Available in two different concentrations: 10% and 30% • Once the carrier (carboxymethylcellulose) is absorbed, the microspheres of PMMA

stay in the tissues and trigger the formation of the host’s collagen around them. • PMMA is not biodegradable and stays in the tissues for life, maintaining its collagen

stimulation effect. • The implant is firm and stable; the product does not migrate and is not toxic or

cancerogenic. • Removal is only possible through surgical excision.

• It is a long-lasting soft tissue filler that remains in the tissues for up to three years. • Comprised of microspheres of polycaprolactone (PCL) suspended in

carboxymethylcellulose, a water-based absorbable gel. • Available in one concentration of 30% • Once the carrier (carboxymethylcellulose) is absorbed, the microspheres of PCL stay

in the tissues and trigger the formation of the host’s collagen around them. • PCL is slowly biodegradable, and its collagen stimulation effect dissipates over the

following three years, returning the tissues to basal condition. • The implant is firm and stable; the product does not migrate and is not toxic or

cancerogenic. • Removal is not necessary since the product disappears eventually.

• It is a long-lasting soft tissue filler that remains in the tissues for up to 18 months. • Comprised of microspheres of hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in

carboxymethylcellulose, a water-based absorbable gel. • Available in one concentration of 30% • Once the carrier (carboxymethylcellulose) is absorbed, the microspheres of CaHA

stay in the tissues and trigger the formation of the host’s collagen around them. • CaHA is slowly biodegradable, and its collagen stimulation effect dissipates over the

following three years, returning the tissues to basal condition. • The implant is firm and stable; the product does not migrate and is not toxic or

cancerogenic. • Removal is not necessary since the product dissapears eventually.

• It is a short-lasting soft tissue filler that lasts less than one year. • Comprised of hyaluronic acid (HA), a gel that retains water. • It comes in different densities, and the higher ones are used for phalloplasty. • The gel retains a high volume of water, creating a soft augmentation. • HA is highly biodegradable, and both its weak collagen stimulation effect and its

water retention dissipate over the following few months, returning the tissues to basal condition.

• The implant sometimes feels squishy; it is unstable and prone to migration but is not toxic or cancerogenic.

• Removal is easy through injections of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that dissolves it. • Even though the HA products are the most popular fillers worldwide, they are not the

best option for phalloplasty because the high doses used can cause a “spongy” feel that is unappealing to most patients.

Our grafting technique is known as bioplasty, a non-surgical, non-aggressive procedure used to implant soft tissue fillers with no need for surgical cuts, stitches, drains, or general anesthesia.

The use of micro-cannulas (rounded-tip needles) protects against accidental injection into a vein or an artery creating an effective and safe implant that can be temporary or permanent, depending on the product of choice.

The soft tissue filler goes under the skin, into the areolar space between two fibrous membranes: the superficial Dartos and the deep Buck’s fascia.

The grafted soft tissue filler does not interfere with the erectile mechanisms that occur around the cavernosal artery, in the depth of the corpora cavernosa.
