Summary
The issue of educational and learning objectives in our society has becomeoneofacurrentinterestduetoradicalsocialchanges.Thus,educationalandlearningobjectiveshavebeenextensivelydiscussedfromdifferenttheoreticalviewpointsandtherefore, theyconsiderseriousandcriticalreflection.Theoretical(Metatheoretical)andcomparativestudieshaveprovedthateducationalpracticeinthe20thcenturywasbasedondifferentupbringingtheories.Contemporarysocialchangeshavecertainlythrownnewlightonthosetheories.Researchhasprovedthateachofthemhasbothshortcomingsandstrongpoints.Althoughtherearesoundreasonsnottolookwithfa-

vouruponcertainupbringingtheories(someofthemarenotfullycompatiblewiththedemandsofmoderndemocratic,pluralisticandmulticulturalsocieties)theinclinationshouldbetowardsdiversityandfreedomofchoosingbetweentwoormorepossibili-ties.Asingleeducationaltheorylackstoofferinspirationalideasforpracticaluse,sopluralismshouldbeacceptedalongwithdifferentapproachesthataregoingtoensureitsfullexpressionwithinanestablishedframework.
