John was silly: The attacker left but returned later. He could have been attacked also. It was none of his business. The woman might have had AIDS. John had performed first aid on the woman but she died anyway.

John was brave: he could have been attacked too, but he didn’t think about his own safety. All he thought about was how to help the victim.
