65 people fill this survey for my personal project survey. I only sent this survey to high school students. 43 of them are female and 22 of them are male.


Do you think school uniform is a good idea?

The result was very interesting for me. I thought students don’t like to wear school uniform but they said they like it and mostly said because it shows equality and our school.


Do you like SWA’s school uniform?

More than Half of students hates SWA’s school uniform. 24% said yes because they used to wear jeans and they think SWA’s school uniform is simple and comfortable. How about those who said no. They said the design is so ugly and jeans are uncomfortable, specially after PE and high school uniform color is weird and also the fabrics. They had many complains about school uniform.


It's really casual and comfyBecause we're wearing the same uniform everyday, it seems really boring.Because I usually wear jeans anyway, so it's not a big difference to my casual wear. it's pretty comfy too. We don't have to wear annoying ties or anything.Simple, not too much unnecessary accessories that would just waste our time wearing them in the morning. example: my old school uniformIts simple, and I'm okay with it mostlyI think it's not bad, but I think it could have been better design.Because it's comfortable and neat.I don't need to pick shirts for everyday, looks more organized,school uniform represent school's image and also can be symbol of a schoolbecause uniforms doesn't allow to students to care about their fashion in school. They can concentrate in school work.Because it saves us the time in the morning from having to pick out clothing, and no one will judge you by what you wear. I mean, we walk the same hallways and eat the same food don't we? Then why should we be victimized to a certain rule while the other teachers aren't? Sorry, I know my answer's pretty long but I've recently been in trouble for what I've worn to school even though it hasn't disrupted my learning in any way possible. How does jeans in a different shade really disrupt student learning? I mean, really. Do you like which country’s uniform?

As you can see this chart, many students like England school uniforms. After that they chose South Korea’s school uniform. The interesting point of this part was none of them like Indonesian school uniform. I am sure there are indonesians who answered my survey. For the 3rd, they like Japanese school uniform. England, South Korea and Japan, most of them has stylish design and wear a tie. I think SWA students want to wear good design of school uniform. Others are mostly US or they don’t know.


How many pieces do you like?

Half of students like to wear 2 pieces uniform. For sure those who chose 1 piece are girls. However ,7 of 40 girls are not a lot. And also many students like 3 pieces. I think why only 2 students chose 4 pieces because the other student want comfortable and simple to wear. We wear school uniform everyday except for the free clothes day. So when I design school uniform, I have to make it simple but the design that students prefer.


What kind of school uniform do you like?

Simple, Casual, Preppy uniform, comfortable, pretty, VintageBut most of them prefer simple and casual design for school uniform


What color do you like for school uniform?

A lot of students prefer white. Many student chose other also, most of them wrote black. They tell me many different colors like purple,navy blue and mint color.


What is a reasonable cost for school uniform?

As you can see, they want to have cheaper price of school uniform than expensive. Of course, I also want cheap school uniform. Actually it depends on fabrics so i have to choose fabrics, which have a good quality and kind price.


Do you like to wear a jacket for school uniform?

More than Half of students like to wear a jacket for school uniform. Even though Indonesia is hot country, many people like to wear a jacket. If it’s not too thick, it will be useful when it’s raining or in the class.


Do you like to wear a tie with school uniform?

62% of students don’t like to wear a tie. I think about why they don’t like it. Because a tie is very uncomfortable and very easy to forget when we go to school. I think tie is better to be optional if they like to wear or not. Most of school get mad with students if they forgot to wear a tie or wear a tie with a wrong way and some of school give them a detention.
