International Agencies, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gives
Permission Pertaining to Necessity, including their Spouses,
Parents or Children
1. Valid passport;
2. A copy of applicant’s valid passport;
3. A filled-in visa application form;
4. Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within 6
months, with applicant’s first name and last name written
on the back of each photo);
5. A diplomatic note from the country’s government of
the applicant confirming the official status of
the applicant and official purpose of travel;
6. A letter from the respective DCIOs affirming
responsibility for healthcare or treatment expenses, or
documentary evidence demonstrating a guarantee that
the traveler is able to take responsibility for his/her own
healthcare or treatment expenses, including for
COVID-19, throughout the duration of stay in
the Kingdom of Thailand;
7. A copy of the Declaration Form completely filled-in and
signed; and
8. A Certificate of Entry (COE) approved by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

1. For non-Thai nationals who have been granted permission to work in
the Kingdom:

1.4 Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within
6 months, with applicant’s first name and last name

Laws on Private Schools or of Any Other Similar Private Educational
Establishments
1. For non-Thai nationals who are students of educational
establishments in Thailand approved by Thai authorities:
1.1 Valid passport;
1.2 A copy of applicant’s valid passport;
1.3 A filled-in visa application form;
1.4 Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within
6 months, with applicant’s first name and last name
written on the back of each photo);
1.5 A document confirming the parent’s employment;
1.6 A copy of recent bank statement (45,000 Baht per
person and 90,000 Baht per family) In case of
submitting a family bank statement, a proof of
relationship must be provided;
1.7 An original letter of acceptance or invitation
or a letter to prove student status from
the schools and universities or institutes that
are approved by Thai authorities;
1.8 Evidence of accommodation in Thailand;
1.9 For non-Korean citizen, a copy of alien registration
Card;
1.10 In case of students under 20 years old travelling
alone, please provide:

Non-Thai Nationals who Need to Receive Medical Treatment (Except for
Treatment for COVID-19) in Thailand, including Their Accompanying
Persons (no more than 3 accompanying immediate family members)
1. Applicant contacts hospital in Thailand that has been approved by
the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to receive foreign patients and
quarantine foreign patients in order to send a request to enter into Thailand to
the Department of Health Service Support (HSS).
2. Once approved, the HSS will send the list of approved patients and
accompanying family members to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will
inform the Embassy to issue a Certificate of Entry (COE) and visa.
3. The applicant submits the following required documents for visa
application at the Royal Thai Embassy:
3.1 For Non-Thai Nationals who Need to Receive Medical
Treatment:
3.1.1 Valid passport;
3.1.2 A copy of applicant’s valid passport;
3.1.3 A filled-in visa application form;
3.1.4 Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within 6
months, with applicant’s first name and last name written
on the back of each photo);
3.1.5 A copy of confirmation letter with the stamp of MOPH
(Letter of certification from the hospital in Thailand
confirming the admission of the patient and
the arrangement of quarantine facility within the hospital
for the period of full 14 days for the patient and his/her
accompanying persons);
3.1.6 A copy of Affidavit of Support with the stamp
from MOPH (for family members);

3.1.7 A copy of the Declaration Form completely
filled-in and signed;
3.1.8 Bank statement that covers the cost of medical
treatment in Thailand; and
3.1.9 A health insurance policy covering treatment and

a minimum coverage of USD 100,000.- (or equivalent
in other currencies).
3.2 For immediate family members of non-Thai nationals who
need to receive medical treatment in Thailand:
3.2.1 Valid passport;
3.2.2 A copy of applicant’s valid passport;
3.2.3 A filled-in visa application form;
3.2.4 Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within 6
months, with applicant’s first name and last name written
on the back of each photo);
3.2.5 A copy of valid passport of non-Thai nationals who need
to receive a medical treatment in Thailand;
3.2.6 A copy of a family registration certificate or other
documents to certify family relations with non-Thai
nationals who need to receive medical treatment in
Thailand;
3.2.7 A copy of confirmation letter with the stamp of MOPH
(Letter of certification from the hospital in Thailand
confirming the admission of the patient and
the arrangement of quarantine facility within the hospital
for the period of full 14 days for the patient and his/her
accompanying persons);
3.2.8 A copy of Affidavit of Support with the stamp
from MOPH (for family members);

Non-Thai nationals who wish to obtain long stay visa
(Non-Immigrant Category O-A)
Purpose of Visit: This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50 years
and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 1 year
without the intention of working. Holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in
Thailand for 1 year. Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Eligibility:
1. Applicants must be aged 50 years and over (on the day of submitting
application)
2. Applicants must not be prohibited from entering the Kingdom as provided by
the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979)
3. Having no criminal record in Thailand and the country of the applicant’s
nationality or residence
4. Having the nationality of or residence in the country where applicant’s
application is submitted
5. Not having prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction,
Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation
No. 14 B.E. 2535
Required Documents for Visa Application:
1. Passport that has validity not less than 18 months;
2. Two visa application forms completely filled-in;
3. Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within 6
months, with applicant’s first name and last name written
on the back of each photo);

5. A recent bank statement showing a deposit of
the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht or
an income certificate (an original copy) with a monthly
income of not less than 65,000 Baht, or a deposit account
plus a monthly income totaling not less than 800,000
Baht;
6. A copy of a certificate of residence (if applicable) or
evidence of accommodation in Thailand;
7. An official criminal record (Letter of verification stating
that the applicant has no criminal record (verification
must be valid for not more than three months);
8. Medical certificate showing no prohibitive diseases as
indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535)
and must be valid for not more than three months;
9. A health insurance policy covering treatment and
medical expenses related to COVID-19 with
a minimum coverage of USD 100,000.-
(or equivalent in other currencies);
10. Additional health insurance requirements:
The applicant must be medically insured for
the entire period of stay in Thailand with
the following coverage:
- Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not
less than 40,000 THB; and
- Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less
than 400,000 THB

either from a foreign insurance company or a Thai insurance company,
with two copies. A list of Thai insurance companies participating in the

or Have Invested in Thai Government Bond of the Amount
that Is Not Less Than 3 Million Baht
1. Valid passport;
2. A copy of applicant’s valid passport;
3. A filled-in visa application form;
4. Recent (3.4x4.5 cm) colour photograph, taken within 6
months, with applicant’s first name and last name written
on the back of each photo);
5. Evidence of adequate finance showing a deposit of
the amount equal to and not less than 500,000 Baht and
the said amount of deposit in an account must be fixed
during the past six months. In case of submitting a bank
statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original
copy) is required;
6. An invitation letter from the company that has
the minimum registered capital of 2,000,000 Baht
or
A copy of evidence of condominium ownership (with
the value not less than 3,000,000 Baht) / A copy of bank
transaction showing that the amount of not less than
3,000,000 Baht has been transferred to the applicant’s
Thai Bank account or a copy of Thai government bond of
the amount that is not less than 3,000,000 Baht;
7. A health insurance policy covering treatment and
medical expenses related to COVID-19 with
a minimum coverage of USD 100,000.-
(or equivalent in other currencies); and

Visa Exemption Scheme
1. Ordinary passport holders of 56 countries/territories that are entitled for
tourist visa exemption scheme are not required to obtain a visa when entering
Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for
a period of not exceeding than 30 days.
2. Ordinary passport holders of countries that have a visa-waiver
agreement with Thailand and Diplomatic/Official passport holders of countries
that have a visa-waiver agreement with Thailand are not required to obtain
a visa when entering Thailand and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for
a period of not exceeding than 30 days or 90 days.
Note:
- List of countries and territories entitled for visa exemption is as in attachment.
- Travelers in 1. and 2. may now visit Thailand without a visa, however,
travelers are still required to apply for an online Certificate of Entry (COE) in
order to enter Thailand.
- Currently, Korean passport holders are allowed to enter Thailand based on
tourist visa exemption scheme for a period of not exceeding than 30 days.

the Period of up to 60 Days (Tourist Visa)
