To create a well designed green

infrastructure network of interlinked

multi-purpose open and green spaces

with good connections to the places

where people live and work. This will

provide a richly varied landscape that

will benefit both people and wildlife

providing diverse uses to appeal to and

be accessible by, all.

The Mayor plans to increase London’s resilience to climate impacts through using ecosystem services to complement London’s ‘grey’

infrastructure (floodwalls, drains and sewers).

The Mayor will work with partners to deliver a major Londonwide ‘urban greening’ campaign, increasing the quality, quantity, function and connectivity of London’s green spaces.
