Psalm 126:2 May 2015 Where God has brought us: We are excited to introduce a new chapter in our lives as we prepare to go to Canada! As many of you know, we moved back to the States after almost three years of ministry in Israel. We have been back for five years! Matthew got his contracting license and has worked with his brother. Deborah got a certificate in interpreting for the Deaf and has recently gotten a teaching certificate through the Christian organization, ACSI. She interprets part-time and subs at a local Christian school. We have been involved with church ministry: teaching and participating in Bible studies. Most of all, we have learned so much about God, His faithfulness and His Word. We cannot believe how much mercy He has shown to us, as we have taken this journey. Pettit Newsletter 1 Romans 1:4-6 "...Jesus Christ, our LORD, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ" Please pray For the Canadian people. The spiritual atmosphere in Canada is a lot like Europe, and people are often cold toward the Gospel. Pray that God's Spirit moves through the people of Canada. God would help us to be patient, as the work of building a successful school of ministry takes time. God would pave the way for prayer and financial support, visas, the trip to Canada, and finding a place to live. We would have the passion Paul had, as He shared the Gospel with people. We would not be afraid, but instead, we would love (because "perfect love casts out all fear"). OH CANADA! Sharing | Christ | Together

Where God has brought us: We are excited to introduce a new chapter in our lives as we prepare to go to Canada! As many of you know, we moved back to the States after almost three years of ministry in Israel. We have been back for five years! Matthew got his contracting license and has worked with his brother. Romans 1:4-6

"...Jesus Christ, our LORD, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ"

    Please pray

For the Canadian people.

What is to come: The last year has brought with it a new conviction that the Lord is moving us in a different direction, Deborah back into teaching and Matthew into full-time ministry. We have been asked to move to Airdrie, Alberta (right outside of Calgary) to participate in a young Calvary church plant and help start a school of ministry.

Deborah plans to work for a Christian school, and Matthew will serve with the church. A huge need exists for Christian ministry in Canada. 35 million people live in Canada, and the attitude toward Christianity can be ambivalent, at best. However, a number of churches are interested in participating in a school of ministry but feel God hasn't provided the right person to run it. Matthew's ministry would focus on building up passionate and solid Bible teachers and sending them to plant churches in other parts of Canada. Matthew's position will not be paid, so our goal is to raise support for the first two years. After that, we will seek God for His provision for the school of ministry.

We believe that God has led us to these ministries. Will you pray that God supplies all our needs, and will you ask God if He would have you partner with us? We would love to hear from you and would be delighted to answer any questions you may have!
