ABS – Anti-lock braking systemFor optimal braking efficiency, enduranceand reliability, the Bipper comes as standardwith disc brakes at the front, drum brakes atthe rear, and an ABS system. The ABSmonitors any loss of traction or wheellocking in the event of extreme braking. Ifone of the sensors installed on all fourwheels detects the onset of locking on anywheel, the ABS adjusts the braking pressureto ensure maximum efficiency and maintainthe vehicle’s manoeuvrability.

Lighting and signallingFog lamps can be installed as an option inthe front bumper. To accompany the two rearlights, a third brake light is positioned in theupper part of the left-hand hinged rear door.

Audible rear parking assistanceDesigned for the city, the Bipper offersoptional rear parking assistance whichoperates via a system of reversing sensors. Itis switched on automatically when reversegear is engaged. An audible signal intensifiesas the vehicle approaches an obstacle.

Cruise control/Speed limiter**As  they oftern travel long distances, a vandriver  must be able to drive with completepeace of mind. Which is why a cruisecontrol/speed limiter, available as an option,programmes the speed of your Bipper to beconstant regardless of the  conditions (exceptin the case of a sharp descent) without thedriver having to press the accelerator pedal.** Optional according to version and country.

Structure and dimensionsThe Bipper offers highly sophisticatedsolutions to protect its occupants in theevent of an accident. The robust structure ofthe Bipper preserves the integrity of thepassenger compartment. The generouslydimensioned front doors enhance overallrigidity.

Seat beltsThe front seats have three-point seat beltswith pretensioners and force limiters. In theevent of collision, the pretensioner holds theoccupant in his seat and adjusts the seatbelt, eliminating any period of latencybetween impact and locking of the seat belt.The force limiter minimises pressure exertedon the chest by the seat belt.

Air bagsOn the Bipper, a driver’s air bag is offered asstandard, with a passenger’s air bagavailable as an option. The latter can be de-activated via the trip computer. As an option,side air bags are incorporated in a plasticframe in the sides of the front seatbackrests*.* According to country - not compatible with other options.

Trip computer*In the event of an anomaly, the tripcomputer displays a warning messageaccompanied by an audible signal andlighting of the corresponding warning lamp ifone exists.* The trip computer comes with the passenger air bagoption.

Overspeed alarmIncorporated in the trip computer, aprogrammable overspeed alarm transmits amessage and an audible signal, and switcheson a warning lamp if the programmed speedis exceeded. You can be sure that you will notexceed the authorised limits at any timeduring your journey.

Anti-theft protectionAs a van often transports expensiveequipment or costly merchandise, the Bipperplaces the emphasis on protection and anti-theft equipment.

LockingThe automatic locking of the doors** is linkedwith the central locking. The logic of thelocking / unlocking of the doors permitsisolation of the load area.

As you value your Bipper, numerous devicesprotecting against theft and intrusion areprovided: electronic coded engineimmobiliser system, optional automatic doorlocking  over 10mph  and  opening of thebonnet and fuel filler flap from the inside.Any opening of a door, including the loadspace, is indicated by a warning lamp and amessage on the instrument panel.** Automatic locking included in the Plus Pack.

AlarmAn optional anti-intrusion and anti-lift alarmensures the protection of the Bipper. Thealarm system is activated when the vehicle islocked or unlocked by the remote control orthe key. To guarantee the optimal protectionof occupants, the doors of the Bipper arelocked automatically above a speed of  10mph (equipment linked to certain options).
