The follow-up seminars deal more profoundly with specific issues of the basic seminars, therefore, participants are expected to have attended the corresponding basic seminar . Practical exercises and demonstrations are of greatest importance in these seminars .

It is our intention to offer you the knowledge that makes day-to-day work easier for you, no matter whether you need to know how a plant is operated or more know-how for designing a modern plant or want to identify potential improvements to existing plants .

The seminars generally take place in the Pfaudler training center in Schwetzingen and are held in German, English, or French language .

Glass lined apparatuses are valuable multi-purpose means of production . For this reason, they are the core piece of many chemical and pharmaceutical production plants . When used properly, they can ensure a reliable and efficient production for many years . Basics of agitating technology (Gv)

Mixing is probably one of the oldest skills of mankind. Its origins lie in the preparation of food. Producing hot meals always required mixing the food in the pot, the wooden mixing club used is the original agitator, and man served as agitator drive. One can therefore believe that mixing is as old as the human capacity to produce hot meals. Man must have realized at an early stage that the soup heated up much faster, the meal did not get stuck at the walls of the pot, if the contents of the pot were stirred. He did not know, of course, that this effect was due to the heat transfer influenced by his stirring.

The basic seminar informs on the foundations and the possibilities of modern mixing technology and describes the special features of glass lined agitating systems .

Due to their high energy-consuming production processes, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries are particularly affected by this development . Basics of Glass lined measuring technology (Gm)

Measuring chemical and physical quantities, such as pH, conductivity, temperature, filling level, etc ., is an absolute must in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry . In order to ensure targeted closed-loop control of or with respect to the desired measured values, continuous measurements must be made .

However, the tough operating conditions including high pressures and temperatures, aggressive media, turbulent flow patterns which commonly prevail inside a glass lined reactor make special demands on the various sensors . The seminars therefore provide solutions as to how continuous measurements of these quantities can be achieved safely and reliably under all operating conditions of a reactor .

The subjects to be treated or to be emphasized will be chosen according to your special wishes and the course will deal more intensely with the special challenges you experiencein your company than a seminar attended by participants from different companies .

These specialized seminars may be held at your factory or in our training center in Schwetzingen, according to your choice . A seminar on location is the best solution whenever many employees are to be trained at the same time and distances are large, or if the personnel has to be available on location (e .g . for emergencies) .

Practical exercises or demonstrations may also be performed at a seminar that is held on location . We may bring our equipment for this purpose, or alternatively use your own equipment .

The 2-day seminar held in our factory was very informative and animated. It showed our workers in charge of controlling and servicing glassteel reactors how to handle this material and its special features more appropriately. The short and precise reports enabled all participants to obtain the information that is relevant for his or her personal sphere of interest. The various practical demonstrations (tantalum repairs, lining of gaskets) clearly illustrated the precautions to be taken prior to such work on the plants and installations.

In summary, the seminar was very interesting and informative for the personnel of our maintenance and inspection department.

For training our personnel, we prefer tailor-made courses held by external specialists in our own factory. In this way, many workers can attend further training simultaneously, at minimum cost and especially with minimum time required. The Pfaudler seminar took two days. Based on the shift model, the workers were subdivided into two small groups and received training either in the morning or in the afternoon. Thus, all 10 workers could benefit from the training. The normal shift model and the usual service level could be maintained during that time.

The seminar contents were very much directed at real life, especially the practical demonstrations, such as glass testing, glass repair and lining of gaskets, which were generally met with a positive feedback.

This experience convinced us to invite Pfaudler to hold two more seminars for us this year: One course dealing with the handling of glass for approx. 95 production workers, and an application technology course for approx. 30 product chemists and process engineers.

tuition fee

The tuition fee is indicated exclusive of VAT and is payable for each participant . It includes all reports, practical exercises and demonstrations, the seminar documents, working material, drinks during breaks, lunch and dinner including the fringe event .

The contents and programs of the courses may be subject to minor change . We reserve the right to cancel a seminar 14 days before its beginning if a certain minimum number of participants is not reached . The tuition fee will be reimbursed .

The invoice is payable without any deductions immediately after receipt . If you cancel your participation or alter your booking to a different date, we will charge 50% of the tuition fee if your request for alteration is received not later than 14 days prior to the beginning of the seminar . No money will be refunded later . However, you may nominate a substitute participant at any time and without any additional cost .
