ABOUTTHEPROGRAMWeareexcitedtooffertheAPhAPharmacyBasedImmunizationDeliveryProgramvirtually!PharmacistshavebeenintegralasthehealthcarecommunitycontinuestonavigatetheCOVID-19pandemicresponse.Withthedevelopmentofavaccineonthehorizon,pharmacistshaveanopportunitytoleadintheprovisionofthispandemicvaccinetothecommunitiesweservedaily.Itisourhopebyofferingthetrainingcertificateprogramvirtually,wewillbeabletotrainandempowerpharmaciststoassistinfillingthevitalneedforourpatients.Pleaseseebelowformoreinformationabouttheprogram.ThisprogramwillbedeliveredvialivewebinarusingZoom.Inorderforparticipantstosuccessfullycompletethe“LiveSession”portionoftheprogramandreceiveanattendancecode,theparticipantmustbepresentfortheentiredurationoftheprogram.Westronglyparticipantsutilizethevideothefunctionalitytoenhancetheonlineexperienceandincreaseengagement.Therewillbesmallgrouppatientcases,anditwouldbehelpfulto“see“yourgroup.

• Educatepatientsaboutthebenefitsofvaccinesanddispelmythsaboutvaccines.• Safelyadministervaccinestopatientsviasubcutaneous,intramuscular,intranasal,andintradermal

routes.• Operateanimmunizationserviceincompliancewithlegalandregulatorystandards.• Partnerwithimmunizationstakeholderstopromoteimmunizationsandtheimmunization

neighborhood.Directpharmaciststoresourcesnecessaryto:

• Promotepublichealththroughimmunizations.• Accessregularlyupdatedinformationaboutvaccinesandtheiruse.• Effectivelycommunicatewithpatientsandotherstakeholdersaboutresources.• Operateanimmunizationserviceincompliancewithlegalandregulatorystandards.

SELF-STUDYMODULESANDLEARNINGOBJECTIVESTheself-studylearningactivityisdesignedtoensurethatallparticipantshaveanunderstandingofvaccine-preventablediseasesandtheroleofpharmacistsasvaccineadvocatesandadministrators.Therearefivelearningmodulesthatpresentin-depthinformationonimmunology,practiceimplementation,andlegalandregulatoryissuesasnotedbelow,withappropriatereferencestotheCentersforDiseaseControlandPrevention(CDC)resourcepublication,EpidemiologyandPreventionofVaccine-PreventableDisease.Theself-studyprogramincludesaself-assessmenttestandreal-lifecasestudiesthataredesignedtohelpreinforceandevaluateparticipants'understandingofkeyinformationandconcepts.
